Introducing The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort Experience on St Simons Island, GA
Planning a beach getaway? Or a family vacation in Georgia? Learn more about our beautiful oceanfront resort located on St Simons Island, Georgia. Enjoy relaxing and unwinding by the ocean or lounge poolside while sipping refreshing cocktails. Whether bicycling along the oak lined marshes, climbing our historic lighthouse, or boutique shopping with friends, there's something for everyone on St Simons Island.
St Simons Island
Nestled against the curve of Georgia's coast lie emerald and golden gems, unique barrier islands, and special treasures to be discovered. Lured to these islands by the beauty of moss-draped oaks, rolling sand dunes, and the pleasures of sun and water, visitors enjoy peaceful respite, fun family vacations, and relaxing romantic getaways.
For centuries the beautiful coast of St. Simons Island has enchanted poets, authors, and musicians alike. The ribbon-smooth beaches, the expansive marshes and bicycle paths that wind their way past enormous live oak trees draped in the gray beard of Spanish moss create a unique slice of heaven that provides a hauntingly stunning and romantic setting.
One of the first things you notice is the vast expanses of marsh land, punctuated by small islands, known as hammocks that define the landscape and create the appearance of continuous land between the mainland and St. Simons Island. The rivers and title creeks that flow through them on the way to the sea abound with all sorts of fish, birds and animals and provide a protected coastal nursery of sorts for many creatures from the ocean.
St. Simons Island is the largest of the Golden Isles stretching for 10 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. The Village offers a charming selection of shops and restaurants that range from fine dining establishments to casual outdoor eateries. All of the locals and visitors enjoy Neptune Park named after a slave, Neptune Small and the fishing pier. The island also offers a number of fascinating historical sites such as the Lighthouse, the Coast Guard Station, Fort Frederica, Christ Church and the Bloody Marsh Monument. Other island activities also include golf, fishing, nature walks, biking, canoeing, kayaking and horseback riding.
St. Simons Island is adjacent to Sea Island, which is the third richest zip code in the United States and home of the Cloister, a world- class resort renowned for its luxury and gracious service and site of the recent G-8 Summit. The Cloister has hosted presidents, royalty and other VIPs.
Walking barefoot in the sand, taking a dip in the ocean, sunning in the tropical breeze, listening to the lull of the waves are just a few of the reasons that people are flocking to this island and even better reasons to stay. Georgias coastal treasure, St. Simons Island is the perfect place to linger long after the summer is gone - in a home of your own. It is an ideal place to raise a family, retire or invest.
For purchasing a second home, the island property is a sound and great investment. Current homes for sale in the island range from $150,000 to $10,000,000. Property values have doubled in the last seven years and have shown consistent appreciation of 10 to 15% per year.
St. Simons Island is still a small southern town where locals are known for their friendliness and hospitality. As the local lore states, once you get St Simons Island sand in your shoes, like the tide you will come back again and again.

Thai Elephant Massage - by a Cute Baby Elephant in Koh Samui
In 2007 I volunteered to get a massage from a baby elephant in Thailand, on Koh Samui. The baby elephant was super cute and kept tickling me and also gave me a big wet kiss on my check. Surprisingly, the elephant actually gave a great special massage - with the perfect amount of pressure! It wasn't a Thai Hot Stem Massage of course, but it was impressive and disturbing that a baby elephant could do this. Learn more about how I ended up experiencing this here:
Reading more about how these baby elephants are trained to do these types of 'stunts' - it's pretty shocking. On the PETA Asia-Pacific site it shares videos about how baby elephants are taken from their mothers, tied down, and beaten so severely that they bleed and scream, all in order to force them to perform ridiculous tricks for tourists. To learn more, please take a read of this blog post:
I posted this video ages ago to share just with some family and friends the craziness I experienced. Since recently it has gotten more popular, I would like to encourage you to help spread the word about these types of safaris and the dangers they pose to Thai wildlife.
To raise money, I will be donating Adsense Revenues from this Youtube video to support the care of baby elephants through the organization Bring The Elephant Home - Learn more here:
Also to show your support, please take a pledge to protect baby elephants by raising awareness of this issue here:
