Geography
Located in northern Japan, Iwate Prefecture is the second-largest province among Japan’s 47 prefectures next to Hokkaido. With a total area of 15,275 km2（5,898 mile2）, it is larger than the world’s 160th-largest nation of East Timor（14,919 km2 = 5,760 mile2）. That being the case, Iwate has numerous areas to see such as the ocean, mountains and highlands.
Landmarks
After enjoying World Heritage sites such as Hiraizumi, Iwate Prefecture’s largest city of Morioka which is the starting point for any sightseeing and the beautiful Jodogahama Beach which is said to be a paradise on Earth, you can also head for places such as Hachimantai where you can soak in the bubbling waters of an onsen while sipping on some sake.
Food
If you’re looking for cuisine, Morioka is the ideal place. The 3 greatest noodle dishes of wanko soba, jajamen and Morioka reimen can be found in Morioka City. The seafood to be found off the Sanriku coast is also famous. This area which has cold and warm currents making contact is well-known as an excellent fishing ground with great hauls and as one of the top three fishing areas on the planet. Sea urchin, scallop, salmon and abalone are especially good.
Getting Around
The JR Tohoku Shinkansen (Bullet Train) is convenient to reach Morioka and Ichinoseki from Tokyo. With the stations there as your starting point, renting a car is handy. There are also plenty of long-distance bus lines running among the cities of Iwate.
Accommodations
There are accommodations at Morioka Station where the Shinkansen stops as well as Ichinoseki Station which is the launching point for any sightseeing in Hiraizumi.

Iwate Trip day 2; Visiting Chusonji and Motsuji Temples, Hiraizumi || Exploring Japan Series
Welcome to my japan travel vlog 2018 (bahasa indonesia) and here is another video on Exploring Japan series.
This is the second day of our trip to Iwate where we visit Chusonji temple and Motsuji temple in Hiraizumi which is, one of the most interesting places as the world heritage sites in Japan. i love the motsuji temple's garden the most. It was a happy sunny summer day and the leaves color haven’t change yet. I hope I get a chance to visit this place in fall.

Nhật Bản ngày tuyết rơi – vẻ đẹp lạnh giá của mùa đông Nhật Bản
Khí hậu Nhật Bản: Trừ vùng á nhiệt đới Okinawa, hầu hết các vùng của Nhật Bản có tuyết rơi vào mùa đông. Gió mùa đông bắc thổi từ lục địa châu Á tới bị chắn bởi hệ thống núi đồi chạy dọc nước Nhật gây ra tuyết rơi nhiều từ Hokkaido tới trung tâm Honshu. Ở vùng giáp ranh giữa hai tỉnh Niigata và Fukushima hay vùng núi của khu vực Hokuriku (Bắc Lục), chuyện tuyết rơi dày 3 mét là bình thường. Tỉnh Niigata là một trong những nơi có nhiều tuyết nhất thế giới với kỉ lục tuyết dày 8 mét.
Nhìn chung, mùa đông ở Nhật Bản tương đối nhẹ và khô. Trong quần đảo Ryukyu cận nhiệt đới, mùa đông mát mẻ và đầy nắng. Tại trung tâm Nhật Bản, xung quanh Tokyo, mùa đông ngắn với những ngày lạnh, có nắng và tuyết rơi thường xuyên.
Bắc Nhật Bản (phía Bắc đảo Honshu và Hokkaido) mùa đông lạnh với nhiệt độ thấp làm tuyết đóng băng 4 tháng một năm. Mùa đông là mùa của trượt tuyết, trượt băng và lễ hội tuyết hàng năm Sapporo với các tác phẩm điêu khắc đá nổi tiếng thế giới.
