Gavirate is a comune in the Province of Varese in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 kilometres northwest of Milan and about 10 kilometres northwest of Varese. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 9,438 and an area of 13.3 square kilometres .The municipality of Gavirate contains the frazioni Oltrona al Lago, Voltorre and other mainly villages: Groppello, Le Vigne, Fignano, Forte di Orino, Fienile delle Pianezze, Armino, Pozzuolo, Cual, Ca'de Monti, Ronco, and Benedetto. Gavirate borders the following municipalities: Barasso, Bardello, Besozzo, Biandronno, Casciago, Cocquio-Trevisago, Comerio, Cuvio, Varese.

Lake Orta is a lake in northern Italy, west of Lake Maggiore. It has been so named since the 16th century, but was previously called the Lago di San Giulio, after Saint Julius , the patron saint of the region. Its southern end is about 35 kilometres by rail, to the northwest of Novara on the main Turin-Milan line, while its north end is about 6 kilometres by rail south of the Gravellona-Toce railway station, halfway between Ornavasso and Omegna. Its scenery is characteristically Italian, while the San Giulio island has some very picturesque buildings, and takes its name from the local saint, who lived in the 4th century. Como e i paesi del lungo lago

Con l’auto ci spostiamo e visitiamo vari paesi del lungo lago. La tranquillità ci assale.
Tutto sembra fermo e la natura e il paesaggio, con i loro colori ci fanno dimenticare tutti i nostri pensieri.
Arriviamo nei pressi della Chiesa di San Lorenzo a Tremezzo e facciamo una sosta.
Riprendiamo l’auto e ci fermiamo a Ossuccio nei pressi della Chiesa di Maria Maddalena.
Si tratta di una chiesa in stile romanico, non particolarmente grande, con l'interno a croce latina.
Da qui osserviamo l’Isola Comacina, una pittoresca isola del lago di Como ricca di natura, di storia e di panorami unici. È raggiungibile solo imbarcandosi su un traghetto.
Argegno è una tra le località più frequentate del lago di Como sia come luogo di transito che di soggiorno. Da qui, infatti una strada percorre la Valle d'Intelvi, che congiunge il lago di Como a quello di Lugano
Passiamo anche nei pressi di Villa Oleandra.
La settecentesca Villa Oleandra a Laglio è l’ormai arcinota dimora estiva di George Clooney.
Da Villa Oleandra, eccoci a Villa d’Este.
Villa d'Este è una residenza patrizia rinascimentale situata nel comune di Cernobbio.
Ripassiamo da Como e andiamo sull’altra riva sino a Bellagio.
Incantevole meta turistica e culturale, Bellagio è celebre per la sua posizione geografica davvero esclusiva: il borgo si trova sull’estremità settentrionale del Triangolo Lariano

Bundelkhand Bhimkund - a true story

Bhimkund is a Natural water tank and a holy place in India. Bhimkund is located near Bajna village in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh and its 77km away from the district headquarters. The water of this tank is fully transparent. The tank is believed to have measureless depth. Locals say, water level of Bhimkund soar about 30 meters when last Tsunami hit in 2004.
This video is of a boy named Tiwari who enjoyed this tank-water like a fish. Depth of the tank never stopped him from jumping into; from top of the hill........he loved to show his skills in water. I planned to shoot a documentary on his skills....but when we went to Bhimkund after few months... to shoot the documentary .......we were shocked ....this boy 'Tiwari' was no more. He died without proper treatment. He had Jaundice (an easily curable symptom now-a-days). Instead of taking 'tiwari' to hospital for medical attention, his family and villagers tried for non-medical systems like ...mantra...tantra....etc....
This video was taken on my first visit to Bhimkund with my friend Shailendra Singh.......the first and the last meeting with 'Tiwari'
