Cayman Islands - Best things to do! Catamaran, Snorkeling..
Grand Cayman is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean with the crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, snorkeling off a catamaran, and beautiful weather. Our short time in Grand Cayman was filled with activities, swimming with sting rays, riding horses in the ocean, and walking the white sand on seven mile beach. The cayman islands are perfect for honeymooners, families, and adventurers as there's something for everyone. During our time there, we stayed at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. This is one of, if not the best hotel on the island.

GRAND CAYMAN WALKING TOUR - George Town & cruise port in winter
One of the best free things to do in Grand Cayman cruise port at Christmas, is to simply explore the multicoloured seafront, with ships of all sizes moored out to sea in the background.
In this slowtv tour, we arrive at George Town Grand Cayman cruise port by tender boat. In Grand Cayman snorkelling from shore is possible just a few yards from the cruise port. We pass several beach front bars and seaside grills that allow their customers to swim and snorkel.
We pass through one of the main George Town shopping malls, (where you'll find coffee shops and free wifi - Grand Cayman cruise port shopping is no different than anywhere else!)
With so many bars and a glistening waterfront, one of the best things to do in Grand Cayman at Christmas is simply soaking up the sun.

A Day in George Town, Grand Cayman Islands (December 2017)
This was the first Port of call on our Norwegian Jade cruise on December 20, 2017. Hope you enjoy it. If you go there take a 20 minute walk to the 7 mile beach. It's white sands and blue waters are simply too enticing to miss. Then take the public bus for US$1 per person back to the port area. There are no bus stops because you can just wave to the public bus and it will stop and pick you up. Real convenient. Eat at any of the restaurants near the port, especially Margaritaville. You can't miss it. Take a walk around the area. There are some very high end stores there, if that's your fancy. Even if you don't shop, there is quite a bit to see. You could also take a tour of the island, in which case, you would need to do it as soon as you are off the ship.
We captured such beautiful photos of this place that we had to print them out and put it in our travel jounal. To do this we used the super convinient
HP Sprocket Portable Photo Printer which we purchased here -

Georgetown Grand Cayman Cruise Port Area Tour (4K)
See what the cruise port area of Georgetown, Grand Cayman looks like after taking a tender boat ride from the ship. Cruise ships tender here because the waters are too shallow to dock.
The Grand Cayman Cruise Port landing area has several zones- the South Terminal, the North Terminal & Royal Watler Terminal. There were lots of shopping abound as well as you walk down Church St which becomes Harbour Dr- the Bayshore Mall, Turtle Bay, Margaritaville, Tortuga Duty Free, Churchill's Cigars, plus various shops at Royal Watler.
There was a small beach at the port area, though we did not see anyone on there, so it likely is off limits. The industrial port area near Grand Cayman Port Authority provides a nice view of all the cruise ships anchored. We observed the Carnival sensation, Carnival Dream, MSC Opera, Star Clipper Star Flier, the Celebrity Equinox and our ship the MS Eurodam.
The walk itself had some historical locations such as Hog Sty Bay, the Grand Cayman National Museum and Fort George. You can actually spend the whole day in this area shopping, people-watching, and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
This was from our December 2017 cruise aboard the Holland America Eurodam. =======================
