15 things to do Gili Islands // Gili Islands Must Do // Top things to do Gili Islands
Last December, we finally had the opportunity to get the best of Gili islands we had much fun on the Gili islands.
There were many highlights for the trip and we decided to do a compilation of 15 things to do on Gili Islands rather than the usual 10 things to do on Gili Islands.
We spent most of our times on Gili Trawangan Island and some time on Gili Air. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to hang in Gili Meno but the closest we went to Gili Meno was watching the underwater statues. Thus, the Gili Islands must do is mainly across Gili Trawangan and Gili Air. I would say that Gili Meno should be the middle ground of Gili Trawangan and Gili Air. Thus, the activities will not sway too far off.
Though these are our own top things to do on Gili Islands, it does not mean that the list is exhaustive. There are definitely even more things to do and I would leave you to explore more as you head over but I hope the video gives you a glimpse on the things to do over there.

Impressionen von unserem Trip auf Gili Air, Gili Meno und Gili Trawangan, während unserer Weltreise.
Von Gili Trawangan ging es später mit dem Fastboat weiter nach Bali.
Trotzdem hat es uns auf den Gili Inseln sehr gut gefallen.
Zuerst führte uns unser Trip auf Gili Air:
Gili Air ist größer als Meno und kleiner als Trawangan.
Es ist eine an für sich ruhige Insel, mit netten Restaurants und Bars.
Wir können euch das Easy Gili und auch das Gili Bliss empfehlen.
Easy Gili für Mittags und Abends und Gili Bliss für Frühstück, Smoothies und Co.
Auch die Zipp Bar am Strand war sehr cool, wenn auch teurer.
Danach ging es für 35.000IDR mit dem Public Boat von Gili Air auf Gili Meno:
Die Insel war fast wie ausgestorben, es gab wenige Restaurants und es war auch nichts los.
Ruhe hatten wir auch nicht, da wir direkt neben einer Moschee wohnten, die uns zwischen 04:30h und 05:00h weckte.
Zudem schrieben die Hähne den ganzen Tag. :)
Auch hier war alles braun und ausgetrocknet.
Es soll eigentlich eine wundervolle Insel sein (Pärcheninsel), wovon wir aber leider kaum etwas bemerkten.
Auch die Strände waren voller Korallen und kaum zum Barfuß laufen geeignet.
Das SakSak Cafè war toll und in der Nähe der Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation soll es im Wasser viele Schildkröten zu sehen geben.
Von Gili Meno aus ging es wieder für 35.000IDR, vom Hafen aus mit dem Public Boat, auf Gili Trawangan:
Trawangan wurde uns vorher als nicht lohnenswert angepriesen!
Partyinsel, schmutzig... die unschönste Insel der Gilis!
Uns hat es aber super gefallen!
Eine Seite ist ruhig, der Sonnenuntergang beim Ombak Sunset ist wundervoll.
Die andere Seite ist voll mit Bars, Cafès und Restaurants, aber es war immer ruhig (wir waren in der Nebenzeit dort).
Erst Abends gab es im Nachtleben auch Partys.
Alles war angenehm und nicht störend.
Mega gut war auch das Puqit Restaurant mit genialem veganem Essen!
Uns haben Gili Air und Gili Trawangan super gefallen.
Auf Trawangan haben wir links von der Schildkrötenaufzuchtstation beim schnorcheln mega vielen Schildkröten gesehen!

Lombok is an island in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia. Lombok is an Indonesian island east of Bali and west of Sumbawa, part of the Lesser Sunda Island chain.

I also give a quick guide on things to do in Gili Islands, how to get to the Gili Islands, transport when your on the Gili islands, where we stayed, food options, the weather and possible day trips between the Gili Islands.
The Gili Islands are a popular destination for tourist from Bali but are actually a part of Lombok. There are 26 islands around Lombok but when people talk about the Gili islands they are usually talking about Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.
Gili Trawangan. Better know as Gili T. Is the most developed island and also known as the party island. Gili Meno is know as the quietest of the 3 with a lot less development. Gili Air is a mix in between Gili T and Gili Meno.
