Glen Cove is a city in Nassau County, New York, United States, on the North Shore of Long Island. As of the United States 2010 Census, the city population was 26,964. Part of the early 20th century Gold Coast of the North Shore, Glen Cove has a diverse population. Of Nassau County's five municipalities, Glen Cove is one of the two municipalities that is a city, rather than a town, the other being Long Beach on the South Shore. The city was also the location of several successful manufacturing facilities in the 20th century.

The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County is a Holocaust memorial, a museum and a tolerance center in Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island in New York State. The museum and tolerance center is situated within the original Gold Coast Mansion Welwyn, in what is now Welwyn Preserve County Park. The memorial also includes the adjoining garden, which was originally designed by the Olmsted Brothers, the influential American landscape architectural firm. As of 2014, the museum is open on Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Besides the urban allure, culture, and shopping of Manhattan, much of New York State is still, in many ways, waiting to be discovered. The state is endowed with outstanding beauty and diversity of scenery. Although New Yorkers have long vacationed in the Catskill and Adirondack mountains, and at Long Island beaches, most have seen too little of the state between its tourist bookends, New York City and Niagara Falls. The Finger Lakes Jellystone Park in Bath, New York is your ultimate summer escape. Camping on your own private lake, this park boasts waterfront sites, hiking trails, catch-and-release fishing and ample chances to get out on the water. This family-friendly campground includes activities for kids of all ages from arts and crafts, train rides, inflatable water slides and horseshoes. Fun Places to Visit at Crater Lake National Park

Fun places we vsited on our recent trip to Crater Lake National Park. Long Island, New York, USA

When visiting the famous city New York, most tourists stay directly in the centrum. Only a few European people I know have been in Long Island so far. As I did not want to stay were most of the visitors are, I decided to stay in Long Island during my last trip to the United States.

Acadia National Park - Maine

For an entire week in July, Jeremy and I road tripped through New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and the coast of Maine. Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor was the place we stayed the longest, and my favorite part of the trip. I put together this montage of short videos I took while in Acadia. Hope you enjoy!
