Salina Kansas And Surrounding Area
This is a collection of various photographs and video clips, from locations in and around Salina, Kansas. There are approximately 78 videos clips, ranging from a few seconds in length, up to 34 minutes in length. Accompanying these video clips is about 1226 photographs. The photos range in date from the late 1990's to May 25, 2019 the majority of these older photographs, are digitized scans of the negatives. Sadly many of the negatives had begun to warp, and there are streaks seen in the scans. The video clips are mainly from the 2010's. There are also a few clip and paste images that I created, drawings, and several tribute images. Images I created, to honor the memory of Jok Church, creator of comic strip You Can with Beakman and Jax, which inspired the show Beakman's World, and another image to thank the owners of the skating rink, Mary and Roger for all the Skatin' Fun for Everyone that they hosted up until they had to close the skating rink on May 25, 2019.
The video is arranged in a way to show locations from the South, to the North sides of Salina, then spread out to show other areas. Locations in this collection;

* 9:33-9:50 Mid State Plaza, showing older Sutherlands Lumber and Home Improvement location, and newer view of the same location after Sutherlands closed.
* 9:51-10:05 Central Mall
* 10:06-12:07 Star Lumber location demolishment, and building of Family Dollar store.
* 12:08-12:21 Storage shed near train track, and Sinclair gas station's dinosaur, on Crawford street.
* 12:27-12:54 Lakewood Eye Center, and views from Iron Street's West bridge, and area looking towards Indian Rock Park.
* 12:55-13:22 Great Plains Manufacturing, Inc location on North Street
* 13:23-13:30 Food 4 Less location on Broadway.
* 13:31- Downtown Salina, including demolished home across the street from Library. Missouri Pacific Railroad, Train Station, Western Star Mill Company, Flour Grain Elevators, Smoky Hill Museum, Iron Street East bridge, Founders Park.
* 26:57-41-13 Travel along Smoky Hill River channel from Founders Park, to Western Star Dam on the Smoky Hill River to the corner of E. Ash Street & N. Front Street

* 3:22:30-3:22:58 A miniature lake near Kanopolis Lake, a fossil shell, I found there. Mushroom Rock State Park.

Florida to Alaska and Back Via Bicycle: Day 112. Riding through Ice storm near Goodland, Kansas.
October 10th, 2009.
After waking up to an Ice storm we packed up and headed east to Goodland, Kansas; riding on icy roads. We ended up going to a Wal-mart in Goodland, Kansas where we met a church pastor who offered us to stay in his church which we did. Saving the day!
