Juiz de Fora - Minas Gerais - Brazil

Juiz de Fora (Judge from Outside in Portuguese) (also known by its initials, J.F.) is a city in the southeastern Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, located close to the state border with Rio de Janeiro. According to 2006 estimates the current population is about 509,125 inhabitants. The geographical area of the municipality is 1,437 km².
The city's location was determinant for its economic and demographic development, for it is placed between the three most important financial and economic metropolises of southeast Brazil (and also the three largest urban sprawls of the country): Rio de Janeiro (189 km), Belo Horizonte (260 km) and São Paulo (486 km). Major highways connect Juiz de Fora with these three metropolitan areas, the most important -and crucial for the city's recent growth- being the BR 040, which connects Brasília, Rio de Janeiro, and Belo Horizonte. Running throughout the city, the Paraibuna river is a major tributary of the Paraíba do Sul river, in which basin lies the core of Brazilian heavy and high-technology industries.

Mercado Municipal de São Paulo (Municipal Market of São Paulo), or also known as Mercadão, was first opened in 1933. With its stunning architecture and beautiful stained glass windows, this market provides an atmospheric experience for locals and visitors alike. Aside from a wide variety of fresh produce and seafood, there are also a variety of local dried food products. Restaurants can be found on the second floor. Mel Potts Paragliding Trip To Brazil October 2011 Beach Landing Flight

I went to Brazil for two weeks with my paragliding instructor Marcello DeBarros and eight of his other students and friends. It was a great group of guys to travel with and we all got along. The weather was not ideal but we made the best of it and got in some good flights. This video is just one of the flying locations we went to during our adventure. This flight was about 20 minutes long. More videos are coming soon. Sorry about the cheesy music but I did not want Youtube to remove this video because I used copyrighted music.

The location is a nice paragliding hostel and landing zone. When we landed we walked to our rooms that were about 20 feet from the landing zone. I was real affordable and convenient.
