In fact, in Michigan, you are never more than a few hours from a Great Lake, of which the state has four. Apple trees, blueberry farms, and cherry festivals are notorious in Michigan.

The cities that made the top 10 were all located on the East Coast and the Mid-west, and located in Michigan. The most dangerous city from the west coast was Oakland, California, which ranked Number 13 – not quite high enough to make the cut for the final top 10 list.

Home of Yale University, the surrounding areas of New Haven are impoverished and crime ridden. Nearly 68 crimes occur annually for every 1,000 residents.
3. Cleveland, Ohio
