Preikestolen or Prekestolen (English: Preacher's Pulpit or Pulpit Rock) is a famous tourist attraction in the municipality of Forsand in Rogaland county, Norway. Preikestolen is a steep cliff which rises 604 metres (1,982 ft) above the Lysefjorden. Atop the cliff, there is an almost flat top of approximately 25 by 25 metres (82 ft × 82 ft). It sits on the north side of the fjord, opposite the Kjerag plateau, located on the south side.
Tourism at the site has been increasing in recent years, with between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors in 2012,[1] making it one of the most visited natural tourist attractions in Norway. BASE jumpers often leap from the cliff. Due to its increased popularity, there is currently a project under way to improve the path to the site, which is only accessible via a 3.8-kilometre (2.4 mi) long hike.
Preikestolen is located in the southern part of the Ryfylke district in Rogaland county in Western Norway. The city of Stavanger, the fourth largest in Norway, with a number of direct flights between European cities, is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) from the site, and the parking facility for Preikestolen is located about one hour from Stavanger by ferry and car.

ULTRA HD 4K FAMOUS KOWLOON WALLED CITY PARK | 九龙寨城公园 | CARPENTER ROAD PARK
#kowloonwalledcity #九龙寨城公园 #hongkong #discoverhongkong
Welcome to the famous Kowloon Walled City Park 九龙寨城公园 and Carpenter Road Park 賈炳達道公園. Our video is filmed in Ultra HD 4K, crystal clear quality, as if you are actually here. We begin at Carpenter Road Park, which is joined to Kowloon Walled City Park. The place is stunning, peaceful and has real history behind it. The story behind Kowloon City is one you must get to know about.
'The Kowloon Walled City Park (traditional Chinese: 九龍寨城公園; simplified Chinese: 九龙寨城公园; pinyin: Jiǔlóng zhài chéng gōngyuán; Jyutping: gau2 lung4 zaai6 seng4 gung1 jyun4) is a historical park in Kowloon City, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The Kowloon Walled City had been a military stronghold since 15th century due to its coastal location and was a centre of vice and crime until 1987. Under the agreement between the Hong Kong Government and the PRC, the Kowloon Walled City was demolished in the 1990s while the indigenous buildings and features were preserved for incorporation in the new park.
The Kowloon Walled City Park is designed as a Jiangnan (江南) garden of the early Qing dynasty. The park, 31,000 square metres in total, is divided into eight theme zones with their own characteristic scenery,[1] matching with the style of the whole park. The design was awarded a Diploma at the IGO Stuttgart EXPO 93 (International Garden Exposition).[2] History
In the middle of 19th century, the Qing Government started to build a walled city, which is surrounded by stone walls in Kowloon Bay. The walled city was initially used for military purposes, where it housed many soldiers and their families. During World War II the stone walls were demolished by the Japanese army while part of them were buried and well preserved under the soil.[3]
After WWII, the population of the city had risen to 41,000 by 1970s.[4] The number of buildings was 503 in 1994. The British colonial government could not manage and control the severe crimes related to drugs, illegal gambling, prostitution and quackery in the 70s. Over and above, domestic factories including textile, candy-making and production of Jook-sing noodles (竹昇麵) were situated in this city. After the agreement of the Sino-British Joint Declaration in 1984, Britain and China embarked on the discussion of solving these issues in this city, and subsequently announced the demolition of the City on 14 January 1987. Residents were resettled in 1987 and 1989. The demolition began in 1993.[5]
The site was transformed to a park for nearby residents in 1995.[6] Due to its proximity to the Kai Tak Airport, regulation on the height of buildings was strictly enforced, so the park could have a better open view. Yamen
The Yamen in Kowloon Walled City Park
It is in the centre of the Park and it is the only remaining old Qing building. It was built in 1847 and its interior was dominated by the offices of the Commodore of the Dapeng Brigade (大鵬協府) and the Kowloon Assistant Military Inspectorate (九龍巡檢司衙署). It was designed with three rows and four wings of houses. Its walls and column bases are built from bricks and granite, while the roof is a traditional structure covered with cylindrical and flat tiles. After 1899, the Yamen was used for charitable purposes like home for the elderly named Almshouse. It is now officially classified as a declared monument in Hong Kong. 6 exhibition rooms are housed inside.[8] Old South Gate
The Old South Gate in Kowloon Walled City Park
The original site of South Gate (南門) has been designated as a declared monument and all related relics unearthed have been preserved. Flagstone pavement, cornerstones of the buildings, and a drain were discovered. Also, two granite plaques with Chinese characters for South Gate and Kowloon Walled City were unearthed at the site of the original South Gate when the Walled City was torn down in 1994.[9] Garden of Chinese Zodiac.
The Garden Of Chinese Zodiac in Kowloon Walled City Park
The Garden features 12 vividly shaped Chinese zodiac sculptures. They are arranged according to the Heavenly Stems (Tiangan 天干) and Earthly Branches (Dizhi 地支) in Chinese astrology. Guibi Rock and Fui Sing Pavilion
The Guibi Rock in Kowloon Walled City Park
The Guibi Rock was carved from Taihu Rock (太湖石). It is named Guibi because its veins are similar to those of ancient jade. Fui Sing Pavilion symbolises a constellation of literature and wisdom. Guibi Rock also symbolises the hope of returning Hong Kong to China.Mountain View Pavilion. The Mountain View Pavilion in Kowloon Walled City Park. From Wikipedia
Idrija (pronounced [ˈiːdɾija] (listen), in older sources Zgornja Idrija;[2] German: (Ober)idria,[2][3] Italian: Idria) is a town in western Slovenia. It is the seat of the Municipality of Idrija. It is located in the traditional region of the Slovenian Littoral and is in the Gorizia Statistical Region. It is notable for its mercury mine with stores and infrastructure, as well as miners' living quarters, and a miners' theatre. Together with the Spanish mine at Almadén, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2012.[4] In 2011, Idrija was given the Alpine Town of the Year award.
The town of Idrija lies in the Idrija Basin, surrounded by the Idrija Hills. It is traversed by the Idrijca River, which is joined there by Nikova Creek. It includes the hamlets of Brusovše, Cegovnica, Prenjuta, and Žabja Vas close to the town center, as well as the more outlying hamlets of Češnjice, Ljubevč, Kovačev Rovt, Marof, Mokraška Vas, Podroteja, Razpotje, Staje, and Zahoda. The Marof hydroelectric plant is located on the Idrijca River on the northern outskirts of Idrija, between Marof and Mokraška Vas.
Mercury was discovered in Idrija (known as Idria under Austrian rule) in the late 15th century (various sources cite 1490,[5][6][7] 1492,[8][9] and 1497[5][7]). Mining operations were taken over by the government in 1580. The mineral idrialite, discovered here in 1832, is named after the town.
According to legend, a bucket maker working in a local spring spotted a small amount of liquid mercury over 500 years ago. Idrija is one of the few places in the world where mercury occurs in both its elemental liquid state and as cinnabar (mercury sulfide) ore. The subterranean shaft mine entrance known as Anthony's Shaft (Antonijev rov) is used today for tours of the upper levels, complete with life-sized depictions of workers over the ages. The lower levels, which extend to almost 400 meters below the surface and are no longer being actively mined, are currently being cleaned up.
The parish church in the town is dedicated to Saint Joseph the Worker and belongs to the Diocese of Koper. There are three other churches in Idrija, dedicated to the Holy Trinity, Saint Anthony of Padua, and Our Lady of Sorrows.[10]

Mount Fløyen - Bergen - Norway
Monte Fløyen - Bergen - Norway
Fløyen Bergen - Norge
Fløyen or Fløyfjellet (originally written Fløien) is the most visited of the seven mountains that surround the city centre of Bergen, Norway. It has a funicular system Fløibanen that transports passengers from the centre of Bergen to a height of 320 metres[1] in roughly 8 minutes, and the actual highest point (425 metres) on Fløifjellet is approximately 1 km to the northeast. The funicular is used by tourists and citizens alike year-round.
Fløibanen is a funicular in Bergen, Norway which runs up the mountain of Fløyen. It is one of Bergen's major tourist attractions and one of Norway's most visited attractions. Over 1 million passengers a year have used it over the past few years.[when?] Fløibanen was officially opened on 15 January 1918.[1] The idea to build transport to Fløyen was put forward in 1895 by John Lund, a member of the Norwegian legislature.[1] Work to build Fløibanen started in 1914. The line was ready in 1918. Today the company is owned 44% by the municipality of Bergen, the rest spread on various private interests. A certain percentage of the yearly profits are invested to finance the next generation of cars, this will likely happen sometime after year 2030. The cars and machinery were last totally renewed in September–November 2002.[1]
Two cars, each with room for approximately 80 passengers, operate between the centre of Bergen and Fløyen throughout the year. The length is 850 m (2,789 ft) and the height difference is 300 m (984 ft). Fløibanen is a narrow gauge railway, with a gauge of 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in).
Each car is named and individually painted - Blåmann is blue, whilst Rødhette (equivalent to Little Red Riding Hood in English) is red. The cars were named by the winners of a naming competition.
---
Fløibanen in 1999.
The trip takes approximately seven minutes with stops at all stations, and 3 min. 20 secs. non-stop. Service travel speed is either 4 or 6 m/s (13.12 or 19.69 ft/s) depending on traffic load. Typically, 6 m/s (19.69 ft/s) is selected when there are eight or more departures per hour, including two calling at all stations.
The funicular operates a basic schedule with departures every 30 minutes from opening until 10 o'clock, then every 15 minutes until 20:30 when half-hour service resumes until closing. All departures call at all stations, except weekends and summers. At those times all stations are only served at half-hour intervals, providing time for maximum four direct services per half-hour with dwell times of two minutes or less. To achieve this extra staff is employed to assist passengers though fare gates and with prams/strollers and/or wheelchairs.
The funicular is fully wheelchair-accessible at the bottom and top stations only. Small, manual wheelchairs may be carried on and off the funicular by staff at the intermediate stations. Electric wheelchairs up to 900 mm wide enjoy full access to both the funicular and the facilities at Fløyen.

360 video: Inside Church of Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, Venice, Italy
This absolutely splendid Basilica is a must-see when in Venice. It's one of the oldest and largest churches of this municipality, and contains priceless artworks from world-known artists.
It took over a hundred years to build this extraordinary church; the works were finished around the year 1440. Although the gothic exterior is rather plain, the interior makes up for it.
The only still-in-place rood screen in Venice found its place here. The church is also known for the artworks that can be viewed here: Donatello's first documented work in the city - figure of St. John the Baptist, Alessandro Vittoria's The Risen Christ and St. Jerome, works of Titian and much more.
The basilica is currently under reconstruction, so some of the art pieces (for example Titian's Pesaro Madonna) are not visible to public. It's about a 10-minute walk away from Stazione di Venezia (railway station), but you can also get here by waterbuses 1 and 2, station S. Toma' DX.
