Grängesberg is a locality situated in Ludvika Municipality, Dalarna County, Sweden with 3,481 inhabitants in 2010.The town was earlier dominated by iron-ore extraction at Grängesberg ore field from the 16th century to 1989. In January 1990 was the last ore-train from Grängesberg to Oxelösund. Grängesbergsbolaget had during a long period the world's largest iron-ore fleet and by 1899–1900 was it Sweden's most profitable company. During this time Grängesberg grew very fast, and during a 10-year period the town's population increased threefold. Today Spendrups is Grängesberg's biggest employer. Dalhalla is an open air theatre located in a former limestone quarry, and is used as a summer music venue. It is located 7 km north of Lake Siljan and the municipality of Rättvik in Dalarna, central Sweden. The quarry, previously known as Draggängarna, is 60 m deep, 400 m long and 175 m wide. It was in operation until 1990. The open air theater was opened in 1995 and currently has 4,000 seats. The acoustical qualities are comparable to the best outdoor stages in Europe. Dalhalla presents 20-30 events each summer, from June to the beginning of September with a combination of opera, choral works, jazz and popular concerts making up the bulk of the program. This flour mill/forge was built in the 1890’s. The smiths made all kind of stuff, but mainly all sorts of nails. Work in the forge was closed in the 1920’s. The mill was used as late as the end of the 1980’s. The mill was mainly driven by water power, but it was partly replaced by electricity after 1930.

I forgot to bring my cameras, so the whole video is shot with a Sony Z5 compact mobile phone.
