Weddin Mountains is a national park located in New South Wales, Australia, 291 kilometres west of Sydney. It is a small crescent shaped range, with a high point some 750 metres AHD , running roughly north south with steep cliffs on the eastern side sloping more gradually down to the plane in the west. Weddin mountains is a small patch of remnant vegetation which escaped clearing due to its ruggedness. It has lots of aircraft passing overhead on their way from Sydney to Adelaide, is part of the Lachlan Fold system and is Wiradjuri country.

Ben Hall was an Australian bushranger. He and his associates carried out many audacious raids across New South Wales, from Bathurst to Forbes, south to Gundagai and east to Goulburn. Unlike many bushrangers of the era, Hall was not directly responsible for any deaths, although several of his associates were. He was shot dead by police in May 1865 at Billabong Creek. The police claimed that they were acting under the protection of the Felons Apprehension Act 1865 which allowed any bushranger who had been specifically named under the terms of the Act to be shot and killed by any person at any time without warning. The Temora Aviation Museum is an Australian aviation museum located in Temora, New South Wales. The Museum was established in late 1999, based on the collection of warbird aircraft owned by David Lowy. Lowy remains the President and Founder of the Museum, which is overseen by a four-member Governing Committee. The Museum is home to many historic ex-military aircraft that range from the World War II era to the Vietnam War era and holds Aircraft Showcase to display some of its operating aircraft. The Museum often hosts visits from historical aircraft and Royal Australian Air Force combat aircraft such as the F/A-18 Hornet.

The Cowra breakout occurred on 5 August 1944, when at least 1,104 Japanese prisoners of war attempted to escape from a prisoner of war camp near Cowra, in New South Wales, Australia. It was the largest prison escape of World War II, as well as one of the bloodiest. During the escape and ensuing manhunt, four Australian soldiers and 231 Japanese soldiers were killed. The remaining escapees were captured and imprisoned.

We flew from Brussels to Montreal with Air Canada, staying within Quebec and Ontario for two and a half weeks.

Montreal was primarily our base as we spent our first two days and two final days there. We also rented a Jeep in Montreal, which came in handy for our road trip!

Our itinerary was self-organized and the video shows the order in which we travelled. The majority of our accommodation were local backpackers and bed and breakfast (best ones linked below).
