Grythyttan is a locality situated in Hällefors Municipality, Örebro County, Sweden with 891 inhabitants in 2010. It is located between two lakes, Torrvarpen and Sör- Älgen. It is chiefly known in Sweden for the Grythyttan Gästgivargård , made famous by its proprietor Carl Jan Granqvist in the late 1970s, and patronised by the pop group ABBA in the 1980s. Other local institutions include the chef and restaurant management school Grythyttan School of Hospitality, Culinary Arts & Meal Science, part of Örebro University, the Cookbook museum, Grythyttan Stålmöbler and Neerings ice cream and chocolate factory and kiosk. The railcars that where used during this journey was Y1 1360 and YF1 1330. The video is shot from 1360 whictch was in 2004 sold to Croatian and got the class 7122 and number 030.

Plenty of conversations go on during this journey and I don't feel comfortable publishing some of them. That is why a large part of this journey is without sound.

This was filmed a very hot in July. The filters to the railcars cooling systems hadn't been properly cleansed and where covered with dust. I had the consequenses that two or maybe Three out of four Engines disconnected from time to time

This video is shot from Y1 railcar1360 equipped with the origianl Fiat-engines. YF1 1330 is behind.

Y1 1360 was in 2004 sold and transferred to Croatia and got the class 7122 and number 030.

Part 2. How to Drive Y1 1303. A Swedish-Italian Railcar.

This video isn't about the beautiful views. It was simply about to capture the sensation of driving an original Y1 railcar with the original Fiat-engines. The sound is great. I suggest you plug in your headphones.

The line is Simrishamn - Ystad and the video was shot in 2003.

This Y1 railcar number 1303 was in the year of 2004 sold and transferred to Croatia where it got the class 7122 and number 031. Unfortunately, not long after it arrived, it smashed into a truck and was scrapped thereafter.

This is a journey that took place less than a year before the electification of this line was finished. An end of an era. Y1 railcar 1318 was used, equipped with original Fiat engines.
