Warriors of Donetsk People's Republic have destroyed 4 Ukrainian artillery battery shelling Petrosvkiy district of Donetsk. Petrovskiy district was under hard artillery fire last night. At least 10 people were injured.

Pro-Kiev militants have been continuing attempts to capture positions of DPR forces at Donetsk Airport and settlement Avdeevka. Positions of DPR warriors and residential areas are under fire there.

Firefights have been going in the sector of settlement Peski. Town Gorlova, settlements Aleksandrovka and Maryinka are under hard artillery fire of pro-Kiev forces since last week.

A big column of Ukrainian Armed Forces including battle tanks, self-propelled artilery guns, truks with troops and fuel have moved from Dnepropetrovsk region (Cherkassoe and Gvardeyskoye) to the frontline today.

Russia WARNING: Bombers and 1,000 troops sent for mission near US allies in threat to NATO

RUSSIA sent dozens of bombers and held missile drills close to borders of US allies as tensions between the two sparring nations intensified

Moscow claims it carried out the missions in retaliation to the US’ deployment of the Aegis Ashore defence system, which can be used offensively. Around 1,000 troops, 30 aeroplanes and 200 weapons were used during the training. According to Newsweek, the missions took place in Russia’s Western Military District, which borders Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.
Each of those countries are members of the US-led NATO alliance.

But Russia Senator Viktor Bondarev claimed the missions were in response to US actions.

Tass Russia News Agency reported that Mr Bondarev said: “The deployment of American missile defence systems in Romania came as a major challenge, in response to which the Russian Defence Ministry made the decision to deploy long-range missile-carrying bombers Tupolev Tu-22M3 at the Gvardeyskoye airbase.

“This move has drastically changed the balance of forces in the region.”Crews on the mission were said to be practising shooting “simulated enemy” out of the skies.

The missions come days after President Vladimir Putin celebrated the fifth anniversary of Russia’s control over the Crimean Peninsula.
