A traditional day out by the sea side, Hastings is a classic British seaside town
In this film we take a look at the Miniature Railway & Funicular/Cliff railway.
The mini railway is run by a friendly bunch who continue to put a great deal of time and effort into it! Indeed they have won awards for it!

The Funicular/Cliff railways serve two locations, the West serves the castle and Smugglers Cave Adventure while the East life serves a view point and park.
Work started on the cliff railways in 1889!

City Description:
Port Macquarie is a town at the mouth of the Hastings River in New South Wales, Australia. It’s known for its beaches, wildlife and penal colony past. St. Thomas' Anglican Church was built by convicts in the 19th century. A coastal walk from the town centre to the 19th-century Tacking Point Lighthouse offers views over waters home to whales and dolphins. Billabong Zoo is known for its koala breeding centre.The Glasshouse is an arts centre with a gallery and theatre offering live music, plays and opera. Nearby, Port Macquarie Museum displays exhibits on the region's history. The sprawling bushland of Kooloonbung Creek Nature Park harbors many bird species, while a long boardwalk weaves through coastal rainforest in Sea Acres National Park. The Macquarie Nature Reserve contains the late-Victorian weatherboard Roto House, built by land surveyor John Flynn.
Weather and Events:
Summer (Dec–Feb) is a common time to visit for boating, fishing and river cruises. Winter (Jun–Aug) has mild days and chilly nights. Whales are most visible during migration season (May–Nov), while dolphins can be seen year-round. Music festivals include the Big Band Blast (May) and the Festival of the Sun (Dec).
