Jungle Cat World, originally named Orono Exotic Cat World, is a wildlife park that was established in 1983 by Wolfram and Christa Klose. The park is still owned and operated by the Klose family. It is located in Orono, Ontario, Canada, approximately 45 minutes east of Toronto off of Highway 35/115. Jungle Cat World is open year round and has many other mammals and birds aside from its cats. The reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates at the zoo are used for educational wildlife programs but are not on public display. Presqu'ile Provincial Park is a park in southeastern Northumberland County on the north shore of Lake Ontario near the town of Brighton in Ontario, Canada. The park occupies an area of 9.37 km2 . The name of the park is the French word for peninsula, or literally almost island, and was believed to be named by Samuel De Champlain on his second expedition. The park area was formed when a limestone island was connected to the mainland by a sand spit; this kind of formation is referred to as a tombolo.

The Haliburton Forest & Wild Life Reserve Ltd. is a privately owned forest, comprising 300 square kilometres in Haliburton County, Ontario, Canada. It is about 270 kilometres northeast of Toronto, and just south of and abutting Algonquin Provincial Park. Haliburton Forest is a multi-use forest, with attractions such as the Haliburton Forest Wolf Centre, a canopy walk as well as the world's only freshwater tour submarine. Haliburton Forest operates recreation, tourism and education programs year-round. Its forestry operations were the first to be certified by the international Forest Stewardship Council in Canada. Haliburton Forest supports ecosystem based research projects, primarily conducted by the University of Toronto's Faculty of Forestry.
