But the tourism is a multi-dollar industry nowadays, so many agencies and private guides are trying to present new, fresh and unconventional places to have a vacation or an active trip. However, in the age of the Internet, new awesome places everyone has got to see become very popular, so make sure you visit them first.

Almería (anciennement Almérie en français1) est une ville d'Espagne, capitale de la province d'Almería en Andalousie. Port sur la mer Méditerranée, elle compte près de 189 000 habitants (2009)2.
Almería est une ville côtière et portuaire, entre Grenade et Murcie. Elle est délimitée par le mont Gádor (Sierra de Gádor) à l'ouest, au nord par la montagne Alhamilla (Sierra Alhamilla), à l'est par une grande plaine qui culmine au pic de Cabo de Gata, situé dans le parc naturel de Cabo de Gata-Níjar, et au sud par l'ouverture sur une grande baie. La ville, située au sud-est de l'Espagne, à l'origine de la mer Méditerranée, est bordée par le fleuve Andarax.
Elle est la capitale de la côte d'Almería qui s'étend sur une largeur de 219 km.
À une trentaine de kilomètres au nord se trouve le désert de Tabernas mondialement connu pour les films (notamment les westerns spaghettis) qui y ont été tournés3.
À une trentaine de kilomètres à l'ouest, s'étalent 25 000 ha de serres plastifiées.
Culturellement, la ville est célèbre pour l'Alcazaba, le Cargadero de Mineral (aussi connu comme Cable Inglés), la cathédrale et son musée archéologique. Les cultures sous serres (invernaderos), la construction, et le tourisme sont les principales activités de la ville. En 2005, elle a accueilli les Jeux méditerranéens, dotant ainsi la ville de belles et nécessaires installations sportives comme El Estadio del Mediterráneo ou la Villa Mediterránea de El Toyo.
La ville possède un aéroport international.
L'île d'Alborán appartient administrativement à la municipalité, et plus précisément au quartier de Pescadería.
