Herstal, formerly known as Heristal, or Héristal, is a municipality of Belgium. It lies in the country's Walloon Region and Province of Liège along the Meuse river. Herstal is included in the Greater Liège agglomeration, which counts about 600,000 inhabitants. Herstal municipality includes the former communes of Milmort, Vottem, and Liers . A large armaments factory, the Fabrique Nationale or FN, and the biggest industrial zone of Wallonia provide employment locally.

The Fort de Pontisse is one of twelve forts built as part of the fortifications of Liège in the late 19th century in Belgium. It was built between 1881 and 1884 according to the plans of General Henri Alexis Brialmont. Contrasting with the French forts built in the same era by Raymond Adolphe Séré de Rivières, the fort was built exclusively of unreinforced concrete, a new material, rather than masonry. The fort was heavily bombarded by German artillery in the Battle of Liège. Attacked in both World War I and World War II, the fort has been preserved as a refuge for bats, which may be visited during summer months.

Pairi Daiza is owned and operated by Pairi Daiza Belgium SA, a limited company previously listed on NYSE Alternext Brussels . It is a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria , and participates in the European Endangered Species Programme .

During the 1998 to 2004 period, it was owned by Six Flags, Inc, an American theme park operator. It was later sold to Palamon Capital Partners. As of 2006, the park is owned and operated, along with Paris' Parc Astérix, by CDA Parks . The Walibi name comes from the mix of Wavre, Limal and Bièrges, three towns in the Belgian province of Walloon Brabant, where the park is situated.

The journey by train started in Eindhoven, Netherlands, but the video begins with sceneries from Station Namur (Namen), in Belgium.
This part one of two ends in Station Luxembourg.
Part two starts in Station Luxembourg, and the journey will be continued towards Thionville (France) , Metz (France), Nancy (France), Vittel.... France....
The video is without music, but train travel lovers know that the sound of trains IS music.... all adds would disturb the atmosphere......

N63 expressway: Liège - Marche, Belgium

A drive on the N63 crossing the Ardennes plateau from Liège to Marche-en-Famenne. There are quite some 2x2 expressways in Southern Belgium, which probably pre-date the E25 and E411 freeways in that area.
