Hradec Králové is a city of the Czech Republic, in the Hradec Králové Region of Bohemia. The city's economy is based on food-processing technology, photochemical, electronics manufacture and IT. Traditional industries include musical instrument manufacturing – the best known being PETROF pianos. The University of Hradec Králové is located in the city, the University of Defense has its only medical faculty in Hradec Králové and Charles University in Prague also has its Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové and Faculty of Pharmacy there.

    The White Tower is the tallest dominant of the city Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic. From the tower's galleries there is a unique view not only of Hradec Králové, but also of the distant peaks of the Giant Mountains and the Orlické Mountains. In recent years the tower came back to life with the exhibitions and became the center of tourism and cultural events. The White Tower houses the second largest and heaviest bell in the Czech Republic – the Augustine Bell.

    The Codex Gigas is the largest extant medieval illuminated manuscript in the world, at 92 cm long. It is also known as the Devil's Bible because of a very unusual full-page portrait of the devil, and the legend surrounding its creation. It was created in the early 13th century in the Benedictine monastery of Podlažice in Bohemia . It contains the complete Vulgate Bible as well as other popular works, all written in Latin.     The Cathedral of the Holy Spirit is a principal church of the Diocese of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic and also the seat of the current bishop of the Diocese Jan Vokál.   • 6. Prachov Rocks Jicin
    The Prachov Rocks are a rock formation in the Czech Republic approximately 5 kilometres west of Jičín. Since 1933, they have been a protected natural reserve. The formations are made of sandstone, originally in the form of a plateau. Since its formation over 60 million years ago, the rock has been eroded by wind and rain into the unique forms found at the site. Several of the individual rock towers have inspired names due to their appearance, such as the Leaning Tower, Devil's Kitchen, the Monk, the Elephant, and the Eagle.
