✈︎ FULL FLIGHT ✈︎ Air Canada ✈︎ Star Alliance | Paris to Montreal
Dear aviation, Air Canada and Full Flight fans,
today I am proud to present to you my latest long-haul catch. I will take you onboard flight AC871 from Paris, Charles de Gaulle in France to Montreal Pierre Elliot Trudeau, Canada.
Air Canada Information:
Air Canada is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Canada by fleet size and passengers carried. The airline, founded in 1937, provides scheduled and charter air transport for passengers and cargo to 207 destinations worldwide. It is a founding member of the Star Alliance. Air Canada's corporate headquarters are in Montreal, Quebec, while its largest hub is at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The airline's regional service is Air Canada Express.
Canada's national airline originated from the Canadian federal government's 1936 creation of Trans-Canada Airlines (TCA), which began operating its first transcontinental flight routes in 1938. In 1965, TCA was renamed Air Canada following government approval. After the deregulation of the Canadian airline market in the 1980s, the airline was privatized in 1988. On 4 January 2000, Air Canada acquired its largest rival, Canadian Airlines. In 2003, the airline filed for bankruptcy protection and in the following year emerged and reorganized under the holding company ACE Aviation Holdings Inc. In 2017, Air Canada flew 48 million passengers, as the airline celebrated its 80th anniversary.
Air Canada has a fleet of Airbus A330, Boeing 767, Boeing 777, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner wide-body aircraft on long-haul routes and uses the Airbus A320 family aircraft (including the A319, A320, and A321 variants), Boeing 737 MAX 8, and Embraer E190 family aircraft on short-haul routes. The carrier's operating divisions include Air Canada Cargo, Air Canada Express, Air Canada Jetz (private jet charters), and Air Canada Rouge (leisure airline). Its subsidiary, Air Canada Vacations, provides vacation packages to over 90 destinations. Together with its regional partners, the airline operates on average more than 1,602 scheduled flights daily.

Trip Report | United 842 | Boeing 787-9 | Sydney (SYD) - Los Angeles (LAX) | Full Flight
Full flight from Sydney to Los Angeles, CA. with United on a Boeing 787-9.
SYD International terminal is really nice, high ceilings and windows. There are some great views out of the terminal for ground traffic. You can see a tour of the terminal along with the tour of the New Zealand Lounge here:
The New Zealand Lounge is really nice. The seating and the amenities of the lounge are really good. Very nice seating and really good food.
The ramp traffic is mostly international arrivals and departures with can been seen here:
The day started in darkness at the hotel, and at the airport got to see the sunrise and on the flight the sunset and the sun rose again and set when I arrived home, all on the same day. The flight to LAX was nice because it was in Polaris Business class. But United really needs to update the seating in the 787s to the same as the 777-300 for the 1 - 2 - 1 layout of the seats.
For the amount of money if you happen to pay for the ticket you shouldn't have to step over the person next to you, to get out of your seat.
The inflight service is above expectations and the meal service was tasty and service was excellent, and the signature Ice-Cream Sunday is wonderful.
The Boeing 787-9 is an awesome aircraft! The WINDOWS are really SUPERSIZED on this aircraft and are very nice for me being a window junkie! The is one tiny problem with them, the flight crew can dim the windows without your input, and for the passenger both windows are controlled together. (RANT Incoming: I am a window Junkie I always am looking out the windows watching the world below. What give the right of another passenger sitting in the middle row, opposite side to demand that my windows be closed. They did not pay the $7,000 for my ticket, I did! If that person wants to give me the price of my ticket back to me I'll be happy to close the window. But when they demanded, the flight crew dimmed my window! I reopened the window and then was asked to dim it. I said that I am filming the flight and would like for it to remain open.
The video is missing a few hours, because with my non-partner status with YouTube I am unable to upload the full flight. The flight time was thirteen hours in the air, not counting boarding, taxing and waiting for other traffic etc.

Ultimate BORA BORA (TRAVELER'S PARADISE)
French Polynesia Travel Guide:
There are 3 locations in this video. Bora Bora, Moorea, & Tahiti.
Bora Bora:
-Bora Bora is extremely expensive. It’s also the most beautiful as far as water color and the lagoon. Your best bet is to fly there from Tahiti which is usually around $400 round trip.
Stay:
There are pretty much 2 options for stay. You can either go to one of the famous hotels with an overwater bungalow for around $2,000/night (I couldn’t afford it but I’ve heard great things), or an AirBNB in the center of the island (what I did). An AirBNB will run you around $50-100/night on the low end (mine was $78).
Food:
There’s only 1 grocery store on the island. You can either shop for groceries there and eat (comparable to USA prices) or you can eat at any of the restaurants at the hotels for $30-70/a meal. I just went grocery shopping while I was there and spent like $15 which lasted me 2 days.
Transportation:
If you’re staying in an overwater bungalow, no worries on this, you won’t need to leave the hotel. If you’re at an airbnb, you can take a taxi or ask your host to drive you(what I did) but it’s expensive. Usually around $30 to go anywhere on the island.
Tips & Tricks:
Want to experience the luxury of the St.Regis or the Hilton but don’t want to pay? Just go there and get like 1 beer or 1 dish at the bar. Talk to the staff. Become friendly. Then nobody will question you when you’re hanging out on the pool or beach for the rest of the day.
Tahiti:
-The cheapest island. But also the least beautiful (don’t get me wrong, it’s still gorgeous!)
Stay:
You have many more options here. You’ve got airbnb’s from $30-200/night, 3 star resorts with Infiniti pools, wet bars, and restaurants on site for $280/night. Then you have your 5 star hotels with incredible beaches, fantastic rooms, and 5 star service. I stayed in an Airbnb and a 3 star hotel.
Food:
Many many grocery stores here. You can do the same for Bora Bora. Also ifs you go down the main road, plenty of restaurants, food trucks, etc for around $10/meal. Lastly, every hotel will have a restaurant on site with around $30-60/meal.
Transportation:
You can rent a moped which can take you around the entire island for $30/day. Or you can take taxi’s for around an average of $30. My Airbnb came with a moped so that was sick and saved me a lot of $.
Tips & Tricks:
Get a moped to ride around the city. Talk to locals and make friends. I made friends with this one guy and we spent a whole afternoon with his puppy on a private beach he knew about. He picked me up and dropped me off from my hotel for free. It’s always cool making friends!
Moorea:
-This is a little secret. Your best value by FAR. Just as good as Bora Bora imo. All you do is take a 30 min ferry from Tahiti for $10.
Stay:
Same as Tahiti. You’ve got Airbnb’s, and 3-5 star hotels. Your choice! What I did was take a day trip there twice. So you can take the ferry in the morning at 7am and come back at 5pm.
Food:
Same as Tahiti. Grocery stores and restaurants on the main road, and of course hotel restaurants.
Transportation:
You can bring your moped from Tahiti on the ferry, or you can take a taxi for around $30. I would recommend booking tours in Moorea, with free pickup and drop-off.
Tips & Tricks:
Stay in Tahiti and take day trips to Moorea. I would book all my scuba diving and snorkeling there and just take the ferry. They would pick me up and drop me off for free. I think this is better than Bora Bora because it’s cheaper and just as beautiful. If you want to stay in an overwater bungalow, you can do it in Moorea for $1,000/night.
