Pictures from the drive out west:
This road trip was done in a 7-person RV. It was a lot of fun. We had a rough plan, but not as much planning as many would think. There were some hairy moments, like the small, washed out roads on the edge of a mountain leading to the village of Mogollon, New Mexico. Which is in the middle of nowhere. We saw elk, deer, foxes, rabbits, various birds and even a B52 bomber, flying low over Amarillo, Texas!
“It’s in those quiet little towns, at the edge of the world, that you will find the salt of the earth people who make you feel right at home.”
- Aaron Lauritsen - 100 Days Drive: The Great North American Road
The journey was amazing. The scenery changes from east to west. Oklahoma and Texas are interesting. Sometimes amazingly flat. We saw huge Jesus crosses and heard The Word of God. Set foot near ancient Indian cliff dwellings, pictographs and the even ancestral land of Geronimo himself. We climbed cliff faces and searched out natural hot springs along the Gila River in pristine wilderness. We’re told stories of mountain lion and bear attacks, which helps keep one alert on the trails. We even saw a car flip over, right in front of us on a 16-lane super highway in southern CA. Ahhh, California.
The Pacific Ocean. Surfing. Sun. California!
We saw UFOs. At the Prophecy Watchers 1st annual Blessed Hope conference in Norman, Oklahoma we learned about what a UFO and aliens really are. This was an eye-opener that would set the stage for the bulk of the trip through the Wild West. We cruised along the old Route 66 and on roads barely visible on the maps. America and certainly west of the mighty Mississippi, is filled with beauty. Blessed with amazing landscapes.
The Heavens Above - Out in the open western states, the stars literally light up the night sky. The Milky Way can be seen, snaking through the evening skies and other constellations seem to come to life.
We hope our family, friends and whomever views enjoy these images. It warped into a video documentary of sorts, of traveling across this wonderful land. America is a diverse country. The differences from East to West are noticeable, yet there is a common-thread. It is more than just the English language, which some say the Founding Fathers adopted. Dare I say, it’s one Nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Memphis, Tennessee: Elvis is Alive! | Traveling Robert
In this week's video we visit Memphis Tennessee.
It is running of fumes that we arrive at Memphis, Tennessee; and I'm not talking about old Kia. It is us. It has been an intense whirlwind road trip for almost two weeks now, and we are really ready for a break that won't come for another two days. I, however, am ecstatic to be staying here right next to the shore of the Mississippi. I have always been fascinated by this river mainly because of Mark Twain's stories. I can almost imagine Jim and Huck's raft coming downstream.
We ignore our fatigue and decide to explore downtown a little bit. We walk along the bank of the river enjoying a spectacular sunset. Then we walk towards historic Beale Street, which is lined up with bars, most of them featuring live music. It is a real shame we are not really in the mood for partying.
On the next day we go to the main tourist attraction in this town: Graceland. This was Elvis Presley's home all the way from the 1950's until the time of his death in 1977. Some of the room were redecorated for the tour, reflecting different eras in the life of the King of Rock and Roll. There's also a whole building dedicated to the many awards he received as well as costumes and memorabilia. There is a meditation garden where Elvis, and well as other family members are laid to rest. Across the street there are two main attractions. One of them is the two jet planes Elvis Presley acquired in 1975. The other is the automobile museum, showcasing his extensive automobile collection.
After the museum we go to one of the most famous barbeque restaurants in Memphis: Central BBQ. While it is a tough comparison, I do believe the one in St. Louis was a little more tasty, but I could have taste bud fatigue at this point so don't quote me on that.
Our last point of interest in the city is the Memphis Pyramid. It was originally conceived as an area, but something about the dimensions prevented it from becoming an NBA arena. After much financial distress, the property was leased by Bass Pro Shops, and they have built the largest over the top store. The highest freestanding elevator in the United States takes you to the top of the pyramid, where they have a restaurant and an observation deck.
We depart at sunset and spend the night in Tupelo, Mississippi, very close to Elvis Presley's birthplace. In the morning we briefly visit the site, and then spend most of the day driving south towards the Florida panhandle.

Pearl Harbor and USS Arizona Memorial - Oahu, Hawaii
Remember the tragedy of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and visit the USS Arizona Memorial on the Hawaii island of Oahu.
Pearl Harbor was the site of the December 7, 1941 bombing by the Japanese that wrenched the United States into World War II. It is still a Navy base today and a National Historic Landmark. For visitors, the main draw is the USS Arizona memorial, which overlooks the remains of the American battleship that was destroyed in seconds during the attack.

The Crystal Collector: Giant quartz crystals Ep. 1 Gwinnett Co. Georgia
Thanks for watching our crystal mining adventures. Check out the sprite/fairy some people say we released while digging this vein. Didn't notice it for a couple years until someone pointed it out in the video. Here it is slowed down...
Watch as host Bryan Major digs quartz crystals in Georgia! These are dug direct from the vein they originated in. These are said to be some of the largest ever found in Georgia. Discovered by Jason Barrett in 2008, the crystals have become well known due to the size, the odd location near Atlanta, the rare alpine type vein they came from, and the super unique sparkle they had in the sun from the thousands of sprouting growth form baby crystals..
The mine in the video only has a limited supply left. The pure white quartz crystals coupled with the unique and odd growth forms, became a big hit up in Asheville, N.C. The metaphysical crowd and crystal healers have all loved the powers the Gwinnett quartz has locked away.
Check out these two places to buy rocks and crystals. Thanks for helping support the cause.
