Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit
Join us for this Canadian Rockies travel guide as we explore one of Canada's most beautiful places to visit. The big reason we took a road trip from Ontario to Alberta and British Columbia was to see the Rocky Mountains. For Audrey's parents, especially her Dad, it has been a dream to see this beautiful part of Canada for decades. With a chance to finally do it we were all thrilled to visit the Canadian Rockies together as a family with Togo the German Shepherd. The following is everywhere we visited in and around the Canadian Rockies including most of our time spent in Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park in the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia:
1) Getting our park passes at Banff National Park for the whole family
2) Exploring the town of Banff including hiking the Bow River Trail and the Banff Springs Hotel
3) Visiting the nearby town of Canmore to walk along Policeman’s Creek Boardwalk Trail
4) Visiting Cascade Ponds where Audrey's sister got married
5) Exploring Lake Minnewanka where you can hike, kayak or canoe
6) Driving through Kootenay Provincial Park
7) Hiking to visit the Paint Pots to visit the pools
8) Visiting the incredibly beautiful Lake Moraine
9) Visiting world famous Lake Louise
10) Hiking the Old Coach Trail in between Radium Hot Springs and Dry Gulch
11) Relaxing at Windermere Lake
12) Checking out the famous Continental Divide
13) Visiting Kananaskis Country to visit Upper Kananaskis Lake and Lower Kananaskis Lake

Canadian Rockies Travel Guide | Canada's Most Beautiful Place To Visit Video Transcript:
Welcome to the Canadian Rockies! In the last video we showed you the 4-and-a-half day car journey from Ontario, but now it’s time to jump into the sightseeing.
We had 1 full week in the Rockies, splitting our time between both Alberta and British Columbia, and all of our days were spent hiking in woods, visiting the lakes, and just enjoying being surrounded by nature.
This was a family road trip with our trusty family dog Togo in tow, so we’re going to be sharing with you our adventure in what may well be the most beautiful part of Canada!
The Bow River trail is just a few steps from downtown Banff and it follows the riverside.
From there, we walked over to the Banff Springs Hotel. This historic hotel opened up in 1888 it’s one of Canada's grand railway hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway. We continued over to Canmore.
From there, we drove over to Lake Minnewanka, which has more of a bluer hue in comparison to the other turquoise and emerald lakes in the Rockies. Lake Minnewanka is a glacial lake 21 kilometres in length, making it the 2nd longest lake in the Rockies. It’s a hub for water activity like boat cruises, kayaking, canoeing, and well, it’s beautiful.
Later that day we drove to Moraine Lake, which is another glacially fed lake. It has a brilliant blue-green colour due to light refracting off the rock sediments, and like most destinations in the Rockies, this one was another stunner.
The views from the shore of Lake Louise were nothing short of stunning, we had Victoria Glacier perfectly framed by mountains on either side, and then the brilliant glacial waters with dotted with red canoes.
Our final destination in the Rockies was Kananaskis Country where we visited Lower Kananaskis Lake and Upper Kananaskis Lake.
The real highlight was finally spotting some wildlife just as we were leaving for the day.
And that’s a wrap for our Rockies Road Trip! We still have lots left to see of our home country, but we can honestly say this is one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Canada.
We hope you guys got a few ideas of places to visit on your trip.
Wishing you happy travels and see you next time!

The Best Places to Visit in Vermont, USA
The Best Places to Visit in Vermont, USA
Vermont is equal parts myth and reality. A mere mention of its name and images appear: sunlit meadows of black-and-white cows, dazzling white ski trails, tidy hillside farms, blazing red maple trees along a stone wall, covered bridges, buckets collecting sap for maple syrup.
Vermont is a place, but also a state of mind that revels in outdoor beauty, good food, and the preservation of unique small towns and cities. Visitors love Vermont for its colorful fall foliage; ski mountains like Killington, Manchester, Stowe, and Mount Snow; mountain vistas; and attractions for families and kids. Although Vermont is an inland state, it has beaches and water sports at the Lake Champlain, along with many lakes, streams, and swimming holes.
Yep, Vermont’s got it all. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Vermont.

Niagara Falls, Canada Travel Guide - Must-See Attractions
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Niagara Falls travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Welland, Ontario: Downtown Driving Tour (February, 2019)
Our driving tour of downtown Welland, Ontario takes into town going west on East Main Street. After crossing the Welland Bridge, we loop around to return on Division Street. Division meets up with Main Street again going eastbound. We end the tour after going under the East Main Street Tunnel under the existing Welland Canal.
Welland, Ontario is a city of 52,000 that was first settled in 1788. It was incorporated as a village in 1858 and as a city in 1917. The location is less than 25 km from Niagara Falls and around 30 kilometres from Fort Erie (and Buffalo, New York).
From downtown Toronto, the distance is 134 KM by road. Welland is directly south of downtown Toronto but Lake Ontario gets in the way.
The Welland Canal Bridge 13 dominates the view in the downtown core. Opened in 1930, the last ship to pass underneath was in 1972. Since, it has been permanently locked in the lowered position as the Canal was rerouted around the city. The bridge is 71 metres or 232 feet in length and also known as the Welland Main Street Bridge or just the Welland Bridge.
