At least ten people have died in a huge shoe factory fire in Chernorechensky village in Iskitimsky District of the Novosibirsk Region on Thursday.

SOT, Viktor Orlov, Head Novosibirsk Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) (Russian): The fire has been localised. Now we are finishing extinguishing the fire and exploring the site. We have enough personnel equipment [to deal with fire]. 11 special vehicles and 8 additional vehicles, 56 firefighters are involved in the firefighting operation. Emergency and security services are talking to the buildings’ owners to find out where those workers who work inside are now.
