With a population of 350, a chocolate factory (Abuela ili chocolate), textile weavers and a Park Information Point, Pampaneira is one of the larger towns in Las Alpujarras. Bars and cafes line the main square, and streams of water flow between the whitewashed houses.

Spain Trip 2017 #13 Grazalema
Grazalema is another of Spain’s Pueblos Blancos, with charming plazas, white-washed houses, and 17th c. churches. After the Moors introduced sheep to the area, a cottage industry of woolen textile makers sprung up, one of which is still in operation with some of their old 19th c. equipment on display.
Wild swimming at the Costa del Sol: Charca de las Mozas
If you love going back to nature, the Charca de las Mozas is the place to be! This natural pool located between Malaga and Marbella is surrounded by rocks that are perfect for rock jumping.
If you like a bit more exercise, you can also visit the Charca while canyoning or river walking along the Río Gualdamina. It's the perfect activity to cool off during the hot summers at the Costa del Sol!
