Iwaniska [ivaˈniska] is a village in Opatów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, in south-central Poland. It is the seat of the gmina called Gmina Iwaniska. It lies approximately 14 kilometres south-west of Opatów and 50 km east of the regional capital Kielce. The village has a population of 1,300, and used to be a town in 1403-1869. Iwaniska lies on the Koprzywianka river in historic Lesser Polandthe southeastern cornerorner of the Swietokrzyskie Mountains.
