Joroinen is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the Southern Savonia region. The municipality has a population of 4,843 and covers an area of 711.76 square kilometres of which 136.3 km2 is water. The population density is 8.42 inhabitants per square kilometre . Neighbouring municipalities are Juva, Leppävirta, Pieksämäki, Rantasalmi and Varkaus. The municipality is unilingually Finnish. Varkaus Airport is located in Joroinen. Joroinen has the biggest frisbeegolf course in Finland with 36 fixed tracks.Joroinen is often called Paris of the Savonia because in the 1700s the people of the manor spoke mainly French.

    The Puijo tower is an observation tower at the top of Puijo hill in Kuopio, Eastern Finland. Opened in 1963, the tower is 75 metres tall and has a revolving restaurant with 100 seats. It was the first tower with a revolving restaurant in the Nordic countries. The restaurant was an inspiration to Erkki Lindfors, the mayor of Tampere, who got the idea to build a similar one in his home town, resulting in the Näsinneula tower, which opened in 1971. The current Puijo tower has been visited by over 5.5 million tourists. The current tower is the third overall. When it was completed in 1963 the second one, built in 1906, was dismantled. The first tower was built in 1856. On the western side of the tower there are three ski jumping hills.

    Linnansaari National Park is a national park in the Southern Savonia and Northern Savonia regions of Finland. It lies in the middle of the lake Haukivesi, a part of greater Saimaa. The National Park was established to conserve the valuable natural features of the Finnish lakeland. On the main island there's an old croft. Slash-and-burn agriculture is still practised on its fields to conserve the old cultural landscape and the associated plant and animal species. A large part of the island is natural-state coniferous forest, with some herb-rich parts. The critically endangered Saimaa Ringed Seal inhabits the park.
