Kangasniemi is a municipality in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Southern Savonia region, Finland. The municipality has a population of 5,490 and covers an area of 1,326.75 square kilometres of which 256.86 km2 is water. The population density is 5.13 inhabitants per square kilometre . Kangasniemi is located on the Finnish national road 13, 50 km northwest of Mikkeli and 63 km southeast of Jyväskylä. Distance to the national capital, Helsinki is 250 km . 7. Puijo Tower Kuopio
The Puijo tower is an observation tower at the top of Puijo hill in Kuopio, Eastern Finland. Opened in 1963, the tower is 75 metres tall and has a revolving restaurant with 100 seats. It was the first tower with a revolving restaurant in the Nordic countries. The restaurant was an inspiration to Erkki Lindfors, the mayor of Tampere, who got the idea to build a similar one in his home town, resulting in the Näsinneula tower, which opened in 1971. The current Puijo tower has been visited by over 5.5 million tourists. The current tower is the third overall. When it was completed in 1963 the second one, built in 1906, was dismantled. The first tower was built in 1856. On the western side of the tower there are three ski jumping hills.

Kuopio has a total area of 4,326.35 square kilometres , of which 719.85 km2 is water and half is forest. Though the city’s population is a spread-out 74/km2 , the city's urban areas are populated comparably densely , making Kuopio Finland’s second-most densely populated city. Since 1969 Kuopio has grown extensively through municipality mergers. Kuopio’s population surpassed 100,000 when the town of Nilsiä joined the city in the beginning of 2013.

9. Linnansaari National Park Rantasalmi
Linnansaari National Park is a national park in the Southern Savonia and Northern Savonia regions of Finland. It lies in the middle of the lake Haukivesi, a part of greater Saimaa. The National Park was established to conserve the valuable natural features of the Finnish lakeland. On the main island there's an old croft. Slash-and-burn agriculture is still practised on its fields to conserve the old cultural landscape and the associated plant and animal species. A large part of the island is natural-state coniferous forest, with some herb-rich parts. The critically endangered Saimaa Ringed Seal inhabits the park.

10. Repovesi National Park Kouvola
Repovesi National Park is situated in the municipalities of Kouvola and Mäntyharju, only a few hours north-east of the more populous Helsinki area of southern Finland. Formerly a site for intensive commercial forestry, the Repovesi area successfully transformed into a pristine national park. Pine and birch trees dominate the park. Repovesi abounds with wildlife including bear, deer and various birds. The River Koukunjoki flows through the park. Other streams and lakes are also situated within the parks boundaries. Attractions include the Olhavanvuori hill, popular among climbers, and the Kultareitti water taxi route. Moi! Welcome to Savukoski in Lapland, Finland! In this video, Siya and I learn all the ways Finnish people use reindeer and we row 110 km down the Kemijoki river in a church boat.
