Mae Hong Son Loop 2016
When in northern Thailand, there's nothing better than hopping on a motorcycle and hitting the wide open roads and exploring the more remote areas. One favourite loops is the so called Mae Hong Son loop which passes through some amazing scenery. This is one of Northern Thailand’s most famous multi-day excursions, taking in Pai, Khun Yuam & Mae Sariang boasting 1864 bends and breathtaking scenery, making it a famous route amongst bikers worldwide. On this trip we passed through countless hilltribe villages, caves, waterfalls, multiple river crossings, some with bridge and some without. Mae Hong Son is a fascinating province of Burmese and Lanna style temples, hot springs, hill tribe villages, trekking, rafting, national parks, and even an annual reggae festival.
In addition to a charming capital in Mae Hong Son town, the town of Pai is also a traveler favorite. We did it in 4 days and covered 900 odd kilometers. All in all, the Mae Hong Son loop is highly recommended!
THAILAND BEST MOTORCYCLE TRIP- MAE HONG SON LOOP
THE MAE HONG SON LOOP is Thailand's 375 mile run through Thailand's wonderland. I've been around half a dozen times and made another 8 trips to Pai.
I have tried to pack more information into 24 minutes than videos made by one-trip vids compilers. Hopefully this will provide entertainment plus give people who plan to ride the loop enough info to plan a better trip.
ON your Thai vacation don't miss this stunning Thailand motorcycle adventure. There is no question the Mae Hong Son Loop is the best motorcycle run in Southeast Asia.
Sidetrips include Doi Inthanon National park, it's the only place in Thailand that frost happens. Access to Thai street food is good as well Doi Tao and Doi Tao Lakes are just south of Hot.

Accommodation Options in Pai Thailand
Pai is a cute little hippie town in north west Thailand. There you can find everything from budget bungalows to luxury hotels. During our most visit we stayed in places at either end of the spectrum and made this video so you could see whats out there.

Moto-Camping trip to Pang Ung Lake in Mae Hong Son - The divine abode in mountains of Northern Thailand. The place for people who love fresh cold air and beautiful mountains with the lake view. Also referred to as Switzerland of Thailand. It is one of the Royal Initiative Projects by HM Queen Sirikit for highland development.
Illegal Entry Into Burma
While doing research for a Thailand expedition we found a few waterfalls we had to visit but they were in the country of Burma and we did not have a visa for Burma. We were going to be in Burma for only for a few hours so it didn't warrant paying an extra $100.00 for two Burma visas. We, (with the help of locals) found a few ways to enter the country illegally by skirting the border crossing by way of foot paths around the border. While at this particular waterfall in Burma we noticed a couple Burma solders looking at us and suspected they would soon approach us and ask us for our passport and visa. We nonchalantly strolled away from them and disappeared into the surrounding jungle to avoid apprehension. We quickly found another path heading east. After a couple hours of hiking through beautiful tropical jungle we found ourselves approximately 2 miles south of where our vehicle rental was parked. We easily got a ride back to our car by way of local bus, A pick up truck .50 cents. We've only been busted once for illegally entering Laos by skirting the border crossing. All they did was make us go back and enter legally. No big deal. If I wasn't with Phyllis I'm sure they would have kept me for a while.

High speed driving on traffic free roads of Phuket, Thiland
View of green Phuket observed in the drive on spacious and smooth roads passing through mountains and forests.
Phuket Island is Thailand's largest at 48km in length and 21km at its widest. It's in Southern Thailand, on the west-facing Andaman Sea coastline, suspended from the southern tip of Phang Nga Province by a pair of short but substantial road bridges.

Sunken WW2 Battleship Exploring - Day 11 - Life in Thailand
For one of our dives today we explored a sunken WW2 ship. This ship was owned by USA but was donated to the Thai government after the war. The Thai government decided to sink into to create a dive site as well as an artificial reef. The ship was located at around 20-30m deep.
The visibility was fairly poor. However we are planning on coming back to this ship and entering inside of it so stay tuned for that video
