The Charming Sirimane Falls, Sringeri
Sirimane Falls is located at a distance of 5 km from Kigga & Sringeri about 16 km a popular pilgrim center. Best season for visiting would be in the rainy season depending on the weather and climate. To visit this place from Bangalore by bus you need to come to Sringeri. There you get Sringeri Sharada temple accommodation and food facilities. From Sringeri to Sirimane falls there are no direct buses. Best way to visit Sirimane falls is to go by own vehicle or by auto rikshaw and visit this place.
One of the numerous waterfalls of the Western Ghats. This waterfall though small in height( about 40 feet) when compared to the other waterfalls of the Western Ghats. But in beauty this one as pretty as others. This falls is located in a thick and dense forest and it is maintained neat and clean. There you don't get any accommodation or hotel. The falls is few steps away from the parking area, so one can easily reach this falls.
Trip to Sringeri
Sringeri is a small village on the top of a mountain in South India. Sripad Shankaracharya who appeared 1200 years back established 4 mathas at four directions of India. In North he established a math at Badrinath, in East at Jagannath Puri and in West at Dwaraka.
Sringeri is a beautiful place with good facility to stay and the temperature there in mid June was just 24 degree. Beautiful Tunga river flows with clear & sweet water. Worth visiting.
Sripad Shankaracharaya who just lived for 32 years travelled extensively across India establishing the teachings of Vedas. In heart a devotee, he wrote many songs glorifying Krishna. The title song ‘Bhaja Govindama’ is one of his original writing.

Nagara Fort, Chakra Dam, Savehaklu Dam , Agumbe | Raingasm Ride Day 2 Part 2
Soon as we back from Hidlumane Falls we packed our bags and left for Nagara fort. It was still drizzling and with all the green covered grass it looked magnificent! spotless Nagara fort!
from wiki:
Nagara is a historic village in the Shimoga district of the state of Karnataka, India. It is 17 km from Hosanagara or 84 km from Shimoga. During the 16th century, this was the last capital city of Keladi rulers.Nagara was resided by an independence activist by the name of Sripathy Rao Baliga(1914-2003) who continued to work for the welfare of the village in the post-independence era.
Spent enough time there then we headed to Chakra Dam. It was far from civilization and we got one of the best sight with fog covered at the Chakra Dam. It was still raining and everything was so perfect. The Chakra Dam is constructed across the river Chakra. The dam stands in a small town called Chakra Nagar near the city of Shimoga in the Shimoga district of Karnataka. The dam was built to act as a balancing reservoir and to feed water into the Linganamakki reservoir.
There was also a talk of Savehaklu Dam and I also seen a video shared by Dheeraj Rao where they drove over the Dam with no visibility. Unluckily we were not allowed to go on the Savehaklu Dam due to the security. So we had to just the enjoy the view from far. Fog cleared only for a second to view the magnificent Savehaklu Dam. You can find some amazing pics of the dam here :
