Tokyo has one of the most exciting and dynamic night life experiences in the world. On this particular night, myself and several other JETs decided to go partying in Tokyo after the Sumo tournament event. The night eventually led us to Roppongi, Tokyo where we went to a club called Vanity and proceeded to party like it was our job.
This video was also something of a test for me as it was my first time using my new lens; a Sigma 30mm f1.4 for a video. The low light performance of this lens is unbelivable, but when shooting wide open, the depth of field is REALLY shallow. So it was quite a challenge to learn to pull focus constantly! Anyway I hope you guys enjoy this video as I really enjoyed making it.

We've had a number of people asking just how induction cooking works so we decided to put a little video together to illustrate the genius of it all.
Induction pans are made of ferromagnetic metal. Induction hobs have electromagnets in them and when they're turned on the induction cookware on the hob essentially turns into the element and gets hot - quickly! The amazing thing is that the actual hob surface doesn't get hot aside from a bit of reflected heat.
This makes induction cooking fast, energy efficient and far safer to use than conventional stove tops or gas burners.

Olek at Japanese Speech Contest
To keep the language alive Olek attends a Japanese language school once a week where he continues to study the language and the culture of the country where he spent the first 6 years of his life. The Toronto Japanese language school where Olo goes every Saturday has an annual speech contest every spring. This year was Olek's first contest. He did extremely well.
