This was quite a sad video to make as I had good memories of the Intercontinental Hotel. To see it now empty and looking sorry for itself is such a shame. I couldn't gain access to the hotel as it was locked so footage is of the exterior only.
This video also covers a quick walk through of a small part of the La Torre golf resort, which, at the time of the footage, has a fully functioning golf course and clubhouse.

Cala Bassa Beach is surrounded by a wooded area of ancient, gnarled Sabina trees, and boasts clear, turquoise waters and soft, pale golden sand. It's a safe bathing spot for kids, but not exactly a 'sleepy' beach, as there is a range of watersports on offer for the adrenalin junkies - including jetskis.
At the foot of a pine forest, Cala Salada is a beautiful, rustic Ibiza beach that seems to have been relatively unscathed by the overdevelopment of its neighboring areas. Here, nature abounds with a small strip of sand, very few sun beds, and clean turquoise water make it a popular choice for those looking to escape the noise, hustle and bustle of San Antonio..
Centuries ago the rock from here was quarried and used to build the watch towers, homes and walls of the citadel of Ibiza. Today you will discover a multitude of interesting and unusual rock formations here.
The trail down is steep in places and covered in loose rock and low level scrub and bushes. Once you have negotiated the trail you will discover Atlantis - the lost city... or the quarry at least from which a city was created! A labyrinth of caves, rocks, holes and sea pools, this place is truly magical and a sight to behold.
Much like Punta de sa Galera the flat rocks here can be good for sunbathing... although be warned they might not always be sitting at quite the right angle!
It has also become popular with climbers and you will find several bolted routes in place here.
Ibiza has become well known for its association with nightlife, electronic music that originated on the island, and for the summer club scene, all of which attract large numbers of tourists drawn to that type of holiday.
Night life in Ibiza has undergone several changes since the island's opening to international tourism in the late 1950s. Origins of today's club culture may be traced back to the hippie gatherings held during the 1960s and 1970s. During these, people of various nationalities sharing the hippie ethos would regroup, talk, play music and occasionally take drugs. These would most often happen on beaches during the day, with nude bathing a common sight, and in rented fincas in the evenings or at nights. Apart from this confidential scene, which nevertheless attracted many foreigners to the island, local venues during the 1960s consisted mostly of bars, which would be the meeting points for Ibicencos, ex-pats, seafarers and tourists alike. The Estrella bar on the port and La Tierra in the old city of Eivissa were favourites.

Cala Matzoc Secret Places of Mallorca
Cala Matzoc está a 10,5 kilómetros de Artà. Su nombre lo toma prestado de la torre de vigilancia y defensa de planta circular, Torre des Matzoc (siglo XVIII), que se alza en lo alto de Faralló d’Aubarca. Esta playa es la menos frecuentada del conjunto formado por Cala Torta, Cala Mitjana y Cala Estreta.
Este arenal pequeño de fino grano, con cantos y gravas rebozados de alga posidonia en la orilla, alberga en su parte trasera tártago de mar, mata de sabina y pino costero, mientras que una costa alta y acantilada intenta resguardarla de los vientos del primer cuadrante.
Su exposición a los vientos de noroeste-norte-noreste y este, así como su morfología, hacen que el baño en sus aguas se convierta en una acción muy peligrosa y el fondeo de embarcaciones, sobre fondo arenoso, a cuatro metros de profundidad a dos hectómetros del litoral, implique una maniobra que requiera la máxima preocupación. Cabe alertar del peligroso bajo, localizado a 384 metros al este-sureste de Torre d’Aubarca y frente a Cala Matzoc: en el punto de menor calado se alcanzan los 2,4 metros. De todas las playas de la zona sur, esta cala es la que oferta una mejor cobertura contra los vientos del sureste al noreste. A 5,4 millas marítimas se encuentra la instalación portuaria más próxima, Club Nàutic Cala Ratjada.
El acceso por carretera es complicado. Existe un camino apto para vehículos todoterreno. Se recomienda llegar a pie, recorriendo un espectacular camino litoral de 20 minutos de duración.
Debido a la disposición morfológica y exposición a los vientos de esta playa, debe prestar tención a las condiciones meteorológicas que desaconsejen el baño y fondeo de embarcaciones.
Si la playa dispone de vigilancia está obligado a seguir las instrucciones de los socorristas y la señalización de las banderas. La bandera roja indica baño peligroso e implica la prohibición de bañarse. La bandera amarilla indica precaución, pero se permite el baño. La bandera verde indica baño permitido. La bandera naranja se usa para indicar que el socorrista se encuentra ausente. Si la playa no dispone de vigilancia o el servicio no se encuentra operativo, sea prudente y disfrute de la playa evitando correr riesgos innecesarios.
Las ordenanzas municipales prohíben el acceso a las playas de los animales de compañía por razones de seguridad e higiene.

North of Formentera is the small island of Espalmador (Illa de sEmpalmador). Espalmador is separated from Formentera by a shallow sandbar, and during low tide, it is possible for one to wade between the two islands. This area is a popular stopping point for those in yachts heading between Ibiza and Formentera.
Formentera comprises one municipality, also called Formentera, and has a population of 7,461 (2002). Its land area is 83.24 square kilometres (32.1 sq mi).

Videomapping IV Centenario de la Plaza Mayor de Madrid
Las celebraciones del IV Centenario dieron comienzo el viernes 17 de febrero con el primer video mapping inmersivo proyectado en España, un video mapping 360 que, gracias a su tecnología, permitió al espectador quedar envuelto por la proyección.
Este espectacular comienzo fue sólo la primera de las muchas actividades que formarán parte del programa oficial del IV Centenario. Todas las grandes celebraciones de nuestra ciudad (San Isidro, Veranos de la Villa, Festival de Jazz y Navidad) encontrarán su espacio en la Plaza Mayor. Este 2017, todo pasa por la Plaza.
