Lamotte-Beuvron is a commune of about 5000 inhabitants in the Loir-et-Cher department of central France. The town is located in the historic region of Sologne on the banks of the Beuvron river, about 30 km south of Orléans. The French Federal Equestrian Park, one of the largest in Europe, is based in Lamotte-Beuvron. Each July, the Federal Equestrian Park hosts the French Pony Championship, in which more than 15,000 participants compete.
