Travelling far away from home is always exciting. But how about staying in your region? I am a north German guy and I am always excited to go to the North Sea. Langeoog (Ostfriesische Insel) is a beautiful island far away from the busy streets of big cities. No cars allowed, but instead huge white sandy beaches to relax. It is very local and a place where people from all over Germany come to enjoy the nature and clean air. Got you excited? In dieser Folge zeigen wir die Stadt Nienburg an der Weser. Die Stadt liegt unmittelbar an der Weser im Zentrum Niedersachsens zwischen Hannover (51 km) und Bremen (64 km). Sie ist die größte Stadt in der Mittelweserregion. In einem gesonderten Beitrag besuchen wir das Niedersächsische Polizeimuseum und zeigen hier einige Exponate.

MAHO BEACH
Maho Beach is a beach on the Dutch side of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin, in the territory of Sint Maarten. It is famous for the Princess Juliana International Airport adjacent to the beach.
Due to the unique proximity of low flying airliners, the location is very popular with plane spotters. This is one of the few places in the world where aircraft can be viewed in their flight path just outside the end of the runway.
Maho Beach ist ein Strand auf dem niederländischen Teil der Insel St. Martin in der Karibik. Er ist insbesondere durch seine direkte Lage am Princess Juliana International Airport und der sich dort bietenden Möglichkeit, Flugzeuge im tiefen Endanflug direkt zu beobachten, weltweit bei „Planespottern“ bekannt.
Die Landeschwelle der Landebahn 10 ist nur wenige Meter vom Strand entfernt. Landende Flugzeuge überqueren den Strand in etwa 10 bis 20 Metern Höhe. Vor dem Anrollen beim Start der Flugzeuge werden durch den Schubstrahl der Triebwerke kleine Steine beschleunigt und am Strand Sand aufgewirbelt. Weil die Flugzeuge meist Richtung Osten starten und wegen der Hügel dort schnell an Höhe gewinnen müssen, wird der Schub häufig schon im Stand vollständig aufgebaut, bevor die Bremsen gelöst werden. Der Aufenthalt am Strand direkt hinter der Startbahn ist für Zuschauer deshalb gefährlich
