Visiting La Cumbrecita Hamlet in Córdoba, Argentina
Certain places you visit have far more sentimental value than others. Having the opportunity to finally visit where Audrey grew up in Argentina was a thrill. The tiny Hamlet of La La Cumbrecita, located nearby Villa General Belgrano and a couple hours away from Córdoba city, is an adventure playground for those interested in ziplining, rafting, hiking or other outdoor adventures. It's also a great place to relax and eat German cuisine while sipping on craft beer. Audrey was thrilled to revisit having been gone for nearly a decade. Come join us as we show you around.

Visiting La Cumbrecita Hamlet in Córdoba, Argentina Travel Video Transcript:
So today we are taking a little bit of a day trip. We've left behind Villa General Belgrano and we're going to visit a little village called La Cumbrecita up in the Sierras. And this is where I went to school as a child. So it is going to be really fun walking around and showing you around.
Well, welcome to my primary school. This is where I went to grade 1 through grade 6. Except, at the time the building was a lot smaller. We did not have this whole wing. It was just this. Just that. And in the morning it was primary school and in the afternoon it was high school. So it was a very short school day - 4 hours. And I had recess twice during those four hours. So, not bad for a kid. Tip top education there, yeah.
I think you have a little bit of work to be done. Not too much. Gandolf!
So this is a popular spot on a hot summer day. Yes, apparently it is called La Oja. And everyone has seemed to gather here. There is a little mini waterfall. Yeah, you can go for a swim. Are you going to jump in, Sam? I don't think so. No swimming trunks today? No. That's too bad.
So next up we're heading to the waterfalls and we can hear that off in the distance. But I want to show you these really cool roots first. It is like this weird web running straight across here. Follow me. Don't trip. Don't fall! How cool is that. That's very cool. Very cool. And little spooky.
So we had a minor miscalculation. When you look at this sign how far do you think the waterfall is? 25 feet? 25 meters? That's what we thought. But once we started walking we realized, wow, this is like quite far. 25 feet we're not there. 25 meters we can't even hear it. It's 25 minutes. Minutes. So now we know better for the next attraction.
Okay, so Sam now you have visited both Villa General Belgrano, the bigger town, and La Cumbrecita. So what are your impressions so far? Well, I like them both. This particular town I like even more though. It kind of reminds me of the town where I grew up in. It's a bit smaller. And what I really like about this place that is so cool is that it is a pedestrian only town. That's awesome. You drive in your vehicle or in your bus, you get off and then the rest of it is just walking. You don't have to worry about vehicles or anything like that. You're also higher up in the mountains and you experience nature a little bit more here. So that is what I really love about this place. And it is so peaceful. It is. Can you hear the birds chirping? I can hear the birds chirping off in the distance. Chirp, chirp, chirp.

Welcome to Colombia
Bogotá is the capital city of Colombia, and there are a lot of fun plans for Sunday in Bogota, one of them is visiting flea markets, the Bogota Sunday Market. In public parking areas you will find several spots in the city where people sell recycled goods, used and cheap things. There’re four principal flea markets in Bogota; three of them are located in Bogota’s Downtown, and the fourth is situated in the neighborhood Usaquen. Flea Markets are the perfect place to enjoy music, remember childhood memories and eat food only in Colombia offered, such as Lechona and Salpicón. It is also the perfect place to get in touch with locals and learn about their live and thoughts. Colombians love to communicate and on Sunday’s everybody is very relaxed. Specifically, in Usaquen you can find a broad variety of restaurants of high quality. Restaurants as Chevichería La Mar to get some Peruvian food in Bogota, Julia to get one of Bogotas best pizza and San Alberto’s Coffee Temple, a nice place to get a cup of Colombian coffee (Watch full video about San Alberto’s Farm: Besides the flee market you can also stroll down Carrera 7 (carrera septima Bogota), which on Sunday’s is full of street artists, sellers, bikers, tourist, locals and you can be sure that you will see some cool but also some very weird stuff. Make sure you have some coins in your pocket and make those Bogota Street Artists move and show their stuff. Best place to start for the walk down the Carrera 7 is Plaza Bolivar right in the middle of La Candelaria, the historic part of Bogota. If you travel to Colombia you will have the chance to see all this and enjoy the things to do in Colombia.

Exciting the journey from Las Leñas to Valle Hermoso with its lagoon, about 30 kilometers of gravel road and with loose stone, sinuous and in part cornice. It is worth those kilometers that are made in about two hours, stopping and going quiet because the provincial route 222 does not allow that of moments is a path. But to appreciate those views, those mountain high mountain peaks, with hanging glaciers and an air pure breathing, perhaps different by altitude. It is a unique show, wild with the valley that accompanies you all the way with streams and the tributary of the Salado River, takes at least 25 to 30 photos, the hills of all colors and altitudes, with slight steppe slopes in some places. As a finishing touch we have the lookout towards the Valle Hermoso with a road that goes down abruptly. The landscape is beautiful. There is a monolith reminder of a hydraulic project on the river Tordillo and another, which seems that the liberator arrived or can be read because the legend was removed with a cutoff, and it is from the 50s, just an anecdote.
Conclusion it pays to go, in summer, to take shelter equal because the altitudes vary much the temperatures arriving sometimes at less than 10 degrees when the sun goes down or of morning. Take the precaution of carrying something to eat and liquid, because the supplyuria sometimes is not equipped, and take money because they do not accept plastic and to my liking it is somewhat expensive service for what they provide, little toilet in the bathroom. It is an excursion for the whole day although it is about 100 Kilometers away from Malargue, leaving very early and as you are going to want to do the waterfall and the well of the Animas I advise stopping at the Molles that there is a hotel with hot springs that is not great But spend the night and get up early. In Las Leñas it is very common not to get accommodation out of season. Unless they go camping in Valle Hermoso Lagoon. Another Situation precaution on the route because there are loose animals and many, do not trust the terrain because there is loose stone and the car skids. In my opinion you can make the trip with a car, the 4x4 is for those who go west because you have to ford streams, and if you do not go fishing or you should risk crossing beyond the service. The lagoon is another one of many, it gives greenness to the grass that grows in a flat place, some trout is caught. .
