Crystal Crescent Beach | 2017 | Sambro | Nova Scotia | Canada
Crystal Crescent beach is a popular spot just outside of Halifax. It has 3 white sand beaches and a boardwalk to go from one end to the other.
Of the 3 beaches, some are clothing optional. Here you can bare it all, and spend days picking sand out of places you didn't know was possible! If you feel like being naked on the beach, this places offers one of the few nude beach experiences on the east coast.
In addition to the beautiful sands and the nice water (and the people watching) you can also see a lot of animals including harbor seals.

Cleveland Beach Provincial Park, Hubbards Nova Scotia Canada
Seals, sand & sunsets. What more do you need to make a great evening on the beach?
No hiking video this week as I had to work on Saturday. On Sunday we went down the Nine Mile River from Renfrew to Hwy 14 on the kayaks instead of hiking. It was a beautiful day on the water but I did not get any decent video so you will have to take my word for it.

The Purcell's Cove Backlands. Halifax, Nova Scotia
A January hike to Piggy Mountain in the Purcell's Cove Backlands. Halifax, Nova Scotia. The area was devastated by fire in 2009 but has quickly sprouted new growth. The granite outcrop known as Piggy Mountain is the highest point in the area and gives views from Halifax Harbour to the Atlantic Ocean. For more information, visit:

This video is from our recent vacation to Nova Scotia. In digby nova scotia we found this gem, sandy cove beach and a hundred year old mystery we investigated. A man named Jerome washed up on this beach a hundred years ago, throughout the remainder of his life no one solved the mystery of who he was or where he came from, google mystery man of sandy cove beach Jerome, amazing story. This hike/walk is amazingly beautiful, I highly recommend!
Duncan's Cove Hiking Trail | Halifax | Nova Scotia | Canada | Subtitles
In this video we are hiking Duncans Cove in Nova Scotia, Canada.
Being on the Atlantic Ocean, this trail was quite windy and cold, but the views were wonderful. This trail is about half an hour from the main city of Halifax. The trail is very popular. Many people will bring their dogs which is nice - and we were no different.
The trail took about 2-3 hours to complete as it was a 7 kms trek.
This is a very beautiful trail. Being so close to the city, it is one of the best hiking trails in Halifax. I'm not sure that you would want to call this a walking trail near Halifax since there are places where you do need to climb down, and the path in anything but flat and well groomed.
This is a fantastic Maritime hike!
