  • 4. Cinecitta World Rome
    Cinecittà is a large film studio in Rome, Italy. With an area of 400,000 square metres it is the largest film studio in Europe, and is considered the hub of Italian cinema. The studios were constructed during the Fascist era as part of a scheme to revive the Italian film industry.World-renowned filmmakers such as Federico Fellini, Roberto Rossellini, Luchino Visconti, Sergio Leone, Bernardo Bertolucci, Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, and Mel Gibson have worked at Cinecittà. More than 3,000 movies have been filmed there, of which 90 received an Academy Award nomination and 47 of these won it. In the 1950s, the number of international productions being made there led to Rome being dubbed Hollywood on the Tiber.

  • 6. Luneur Park Rome
    LunEur is the largest amusement park in Rome and the oldest in Italy, dating back to 1953. It took its name from the Eur district in Rome where it is located. On April 20, 2008, the park closed. The EUR SpA has stated that the decision to close the park was made by the prefetto in order to guarantee the safety of the area. The park reopened in 2016.LunEur is actually the second Luna Park for the city, succeeding the Frederick Ingersoll-built park that closed in the 1930s.
