BUT if you fall prey to some of these terrible mistakes, you might end up losing a lot of money, walking away with crazy hangovers, or wasting your entire trip!

Journey from the Ravine de Cabris through Le Tampon and up to the end of the world, near the summit of one of the most active volcanoes on the planet, Piton de la Fournaise on Réunion Island - a pearl in the Indian Ocean.
Perhaps (and maybe thankfully) not as well known as its neighbour Mauritius, Réunion is an island which has everything - rain forests, sand and coral beaches, mountains, volcanoes (active and extinct), european infrastructure and probably the friendliest people on the planet.
It has a wonderful and colourful history and really is worth the long journey to visit.....

Without doubt one of the of the windiest, coral beaches I have ever been on but there again, it was to be expected as it is on the exquisite Île de la Réunion in the Indian Ocean. Even with the wind, it was great to feel the warmth of the sun again after what had been a disappointing summer in Holland. Great people, great place and definitely somewhere you should visit.

L'île de la Réunion dans l'Océan Indien est un terrain de jeu parfait pour les randonnées dans les 3 cirques ou les deux pitons. Mais il existe d'autres expériences à vivre dans l'île, comme la spéléo dans un tunnel de lave du piton de la Fournaise, le standup paddle dans le lagon de Saint Gilles, les cours de cuisine sur la plage, la rando méditation, etc.
