Big Bend By Motorcycle PART 1: Getting There
Heading into Big Bend National Park on my big motorcycle trip to all the national parks in the continental United States. Made my way through Marfa, Texas to Big Bend Ranch State Park where I set up camp for the night and it was an excellent spot for motorcycle camping!
Quite a day riding through wind across the great wide open plains of Texas, checking out an interesting and quirky town of Marfa, running from some rain and making it to one of my new favorite roads for a motorcycle Route 170 The River Road where I got to swim in the Rio Grande on the US Mexico border. Breathtaking views and a gorgeous sunset. This was my kind of day!

Garner State Park
Built by the CCC in the 1930s, Garner has long been one of the most popular parks in the state, and with good reason. From the spring fed Frio River, to the vast hiking trails, to the summer dances, there is a lot here. That’s why generations of Texans have been making this Hill Country gem the place to be year round.

Twisted Sisters Leg 1 July 2017
Twisted Sister Ride on 1 July, 2017. Had been trying to do this ride for weeks but weather kept delaying me. Finally got it done. It's worth the ride to get down to the Texas Hill Country. Plus some great places to hang out as well. Bandera, Medina, Vanderpool, Leakey, Camp Wood. I based out of Kerrville for a couple of days at the KOA campgrounds. A nice place to hang.
