Le Puy Camino - Lectoure to Aire sur l'Adour, France - CaminoWays.com - Unravel Travel TV
The fifth section of the Le Puy Way or Via Podiensis, starts from the pretty town of Lectoure, in the heart of Le Gers and the famous Armagnac brandy producing region. On this section of the Le Puy Camino, pilgrims make their way across green countryside, peaceful woodlands, as well as the vast lush vineyards of Armagnac. As you approach the small village of La Romieu, pilgrims are welcome by the imposing tower of St. Pierre Church where you should take some time to admire the 14th century cloister. Another important stop on the way is the city of Condom where you should stop to visit the magnificent St Peter’s Gothic Cathedral (and take a snap with the Three Musketeers). The landscape will gradually change to crop fields and pine forests as you enter the Landes region, to reach the final stop for this section: the market town of Aire sur l’Adour.

Dramatic 2,000 Year Old Cahors, France
Cahors has an ultra-dramatic location, contained on three sides within a U-shaped bend in the River Lot. It is the chief city of the Lot and was founded 2,000 years ago by the Romans.
Today Cahors is perhaps best known as a famous wine center. Wander around the narrow streets in the old section with medieval houses, Baroque doorways, and Secret Gardens then sit down in a cafe or along the Lot River to watch the world go by.
