1. Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden Lethbridge
Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden is a 3.75-acre garden near Henderson Lake in Lethbridge, Alberta, designed by Dr. Masami Sugimoto and Dr. Tadashi Kubo of Osaka Prefecture University in Japan. The pavilion, shelter, bridges and gates were built in Kyoto, Japan, by five artisans who later reassembled them in the garden. It was opened July 14th 1967, during the Canadian Centennial.

This is a list of casinos and horse racing tracks in Alberta. The province of Alberta has given out many licences for small casinos but few have attached hotels and none are major resorts. A partial exception to this rule is the River Cree Resort and Casino which is located on the Stony Plain Indian Reserve and owned by the Enoch Cree Nation . In addition to these casinos there are temporary caissons set up during major festivals such as K-Days, large gaming room full of VLTs in many bars, and approximately 50 bingo halls throughout the province.

Indian Battle Park is a park located in the Oldman River valley urban park system of Lethbridge, Alberta. The 150-acre park was developed in 1960 and commemorates the Battle of the Belly River held in the area on 24 October 1870 between the Blackfoot and the Cree. A formal peace treaty between the two nations was reached in 1871. In 2005, a city council bid to rename the park Valley Of Peace was rejected. The park is home to Fort Whoop-Up, Helen Schuler Coulee Centre and the High Level Bridge.

Farmers' Market in Downtown Lethbridge, Alberta

The Downtown Business Revitalization Zone, in partnership with Exhibition Park, is pleased to announce the 7th Annual Downtown Farmer's Market every Wednesday starting, July 3 until September 11th. This popular event will feature 23 local and area vendors. The vendors will showcase a variety of products that are made, baked or grown. You will find an excellent selection of crafts, fresh fruit/vegetables, baking, artwork, hand-made clothing and more.

The market will run every Wednesday from 10 a.m to 3 p.m. from July 3 to September 11 in Festival Square. (located at the corner of 6th Street and 3rd Avenue)

Market customers can enter into a draw for a chance to win one of four $25 gift certificates -- redeemable at any of the Wednesday vendors. The draw for the certificates will be held on September 4th. The DBRZ Summer Ambassadors will be selling popcorn and handing out balloons.

Attendees are encouraged to walk around the downtown and check out sidewalk sales and stay for lunch or enjoy a coffee at one of our many great restaurants and coffee shops.

Exhibition Park's Saturday market and the downtown market are the only Alberta Approved Markets that operate in Lethbridge. Both markets are members of the Alberta Farmers' Market Association and adhere to the guidelines and criteria that are established to be a certified Alberta Market operator.
