Linwood is a small unincorporated community in the northern portion of Bay County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community is on the boundary between Fraser Township on the north and Kawkawlin Township on the south. It is situated with M-13 to the west and the Saginaw Bay of Lake Huron on the east, between Kaiser Tower Road and Elevator Road where Linwood Road becomes Center Road. Bay City is about 12 miles to the south and Linwood is included in the Bay City Metropolitan Statistical Area. 1. Dow Gardens Midland Michigan
Dow Gardens is a 110-acre botanical garden located at 1809 Eastman Avenue, Midland, Michigan, United States. It is open to the public, and currently contains over 1700 varieties of plants hardy in mid-Michigan. The main entrance has geographical coordinates of 43.623378°N 84.249612°W / 43.623378; -84.249612. The Dow Gardens were started in 1899 by Herbert Dow, founder of The Dow Chemical Company, and gardener Elzie Côte, on eight acres of flat, sandy land. The Herbert H. Dow House is located at the southwest corner of the gardens. The Alden Dow House and Studio are on the west side of the gardens, separated by a pond. Subsequent generations of the Dow family have continued to develop the gardens.

Located along the Saginaw River near where it empties out into Saginaw Bay, Bay City has quite a lot of great things to check out from many stores, restaurants, the City Market, and the Bay County Historical Museum (next to the Bay City City Hall) to its many parks especially Veterans Memorial Park. The riverwalk along the Saginaw River is my highlight of the park.
