Liphook is a large village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 4.1 miles west of Haslemere, bypassed by the A3 road, and lies on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. It is in the civil parish of Bramshott and Liphook, which also includes Bramshott and Hammer Bottom. Liphook has a railway station, on the Portsmouth Direct Line. The village grew as a coaching stop between London and Portsmouth during the 17th and 18th centuries. It served as a base during the First World War and the Second World War for Canadian troops stationed in Southern England.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, 2 miles west of Amesbury. It consists of a ring of standing stones, with each standing stone around 13 feet high, 7 feet wide and weighing around 25 tons. The stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. One of the best known prehistoric sites in Britain, it contains the largest megalithic stone circle in the world. The station, as well as the line, was constructed by the Duke of Marlborough and was privately run until 1897 when it became part of the Great Western Railway. The number of trains serving the station was cut in the late 1930s, and again in 1952 down to only six trains a day. The last train ran on 27 February 1954 adorned with a wreath. Steam Powered Funfair - Hollycombe

Hollycombe steam powered funfair, what I would reluctantly call a vintage funfair. A great day out at Britains largest working steam collection. Each ride is powered by its own coal fire stream engine and is many years old. Most of the rides are from the Edwardian era or are at least in that style.

Abandoned Restaurant Oxford Long Branch Saloon site of Celebrity visit

We visit an abandoned restaurant in Oxford Michigan that is soon to be torn down. Going to be replaced by a strip mall and Leo's Coney Island. This site was the former Long Branch Saloon , Mr B's, Calloways, Chardonnay, and Burning Oak Smokehouse. Amanda Blake the famous actress from the Gunsmoke TV series Once visited here for an American Cancer Society fundraiser.
