Lydden Hill Race Circuit is a motorsport venue in Denton with Wootton, about half-way between Canterbury and Dover in Kent, England. The mile-long circuit is mainly used for Rallycross, Drift, Saloon and Sports car racing as well as Motorcycle racing. It the shortest road racing circuit in the United Kingdom. The track, previously owned by the McLaren Group, has undergone changes to make it the hub of Kentish motorsport. The track is one of two motor racing circuits in the county of Kent, along with Brands Hatch.

Port Lympne Reserve near the town of Hythe in Kent, England is set in 600 acres and incorporates the historic mansion and landscaped gardens designed by architect Sir Herbert Baker for Sir Philip Sassoon during World War I. The estate near Lympne was purchased in 1973 by John Aspinall to solve lack of space at Howletts Wild Animal Park, and it was opened to the public in 1976. Since 1984 the animal park has been owned by a charity . The collection is known for being unorthodox, for the encouragement of close personal relationships between staff and animals, and for their breeding of rare and endangered species. Royalty and many other famous people have stayed at the mansion at the centre of the park. The rooms are lavishly decorated and the landscaped gardens have views of Romney Marsh.

FINDING AN OLD WW2 HEAVY ANTI AIRCRAFT GUN BATTERY SITE IN THE LOCAL FIELDS!!

Bannerhill camp: WW2 Anti aircraft gun batteries:

Bannerhill camp in Kenilworth was a world war two heavy anti-aircraft gun battery encampment created between 1940-1941 in response to Luffwaffe bomb raids in the Midlands especially the Coventry blitz. Bannerhill was part of a circle of protection which included at least 4 other camps located around the Midlands to protect Birmingham, Coventry and other local Midland towns and settlements. This camp originally had five QF HAA gun placements with an additional two Botors 40mm gun pits located at the rear. Each placement was made from concrete blocks/shuttering and have two crew cabins built into the sides along with ammo stores lining the inner walls. The guns in place were the QF 3.7 Heavy anti-aircraft gun that was capable of firing 20 high explosive rounds per minute upwards of 3000ft and only took 15 seconds for a shell to leave the camp to reach its target high of around 30,000ft. These guns were later fitted with GL radar. The placements were operated by around 8 male unit soldiers with a female Auxiliary territorial service (ATS) spotter. over the course of its active life over 100 men and women came through Bannerhill, however in 1944 the gun were moved to the south of England due to the rising threat of the V1. There is also a control room sunk into the ground facing the encampments that would of held officers and other staff ready to give word to the guns. Originally instructions would be shouted across a speaker system however 4 telephone cables were later added. After the guns removable in 1944 the area was converted into a P.O.W camp that housed around 80 German and Italian prisoners who were sent to work on local lands until there return home. The accommodation and other huts/offices later the P.O.W camp was located just down the road in the next field however there is no longer any trace of these buildings and now has residential homes built there. The site was known as H25 and was kept by the British forces into the cold war for precaution.

World Record Hot Air Balloon Flight over English Channel

on the 7th April 2017, a record number of hot air Balloons took off early morning from Lydden race curcit outside of Dover to cross the English Channel. Pictures and video of all of the balloons passing between Dover Castle and Langdon Cliffs Dover's White Cliffes, before passing over Dover Harbour.
