1. Skyline Drive Shenandoah National Park
Skyline Drive is a 105-mile road that runs the entire length of the National Park Service's Shenandoah National Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, generally along the ridge of the mountains. The drive's northern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Route 340 near Front Royal, and the southern terminus is at an interchange with US 250 near Interstate 64 in Rockfish Gap, where the road continues south as the Blue Ridge Parkway. The road has intermediate interchanges with US 211 in Thornton Gap and US 33 in Swift Run Gap. Skyline Drive is part of Virginia State Route 48, which also includes the Virginia portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway, but this designation is not signed. However, its scope is international in that it states, In Tribute to the valor, fidelity and sacrifice of Allied Forces on D-Day, June 6, 1944 and commends all Allied Armed Forces during the D-Day invasion of Normandy, France on June 6, 1944 during World War II.The memorial, bordering the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia, is an area of over 50 acres that overlooks the town of Bedford. It officially opened on June 6, 2001 with 15,000 people present, one of whom was then-President George W. Bush. About 60,000 people have visited the memorial each year. Of those, more than half are from outside of Virginia.

The rental is located on the 6th floor (US 7) of a typical Haussmannian building, with elevator. The rental has two bedrooms both and can sleep up to 6 people. If you're considering a trip for the family, check out our blog for some ideas of activities to do together ( This vacation rental comes fully furnished and is equipped with an American-style open kitchen; the living room receives a lot of natural light and looks on the building's courtyard with views of the rooftops. In the surrounding neighborhood you'll find the Rue Poncelet and its market where you can buy fresh produce and enjoy the lively atmosphere. Around the corner from this vacation rental on rue Daru, the video takes us to the Cathedral of Saint-Alexandre-Nevsky de Paris.
