Mandvi | The Blue-water Beach of Gujarat
Mandvi is a town in the Kutch district in Gujarat, India. It was once a major port of the region and summer retreat for Maharao (king) of the Cutch State. The old city was enclosed in the fort wall and remains of the fort wall can still be seen. The city has a four-hundred-year-old ship building industry, which was started by the caste of Kharva that still builds small wooden ships. It is about 56 km south of the regional capital, Bhuj. It is approximately 446 km from the major Gujarati megacity of Ahmedabad. Because Mandvi has no rail transport, the nearest public airport and train station is Bhuj.

Mandvi : Chal Le Oye I 4k vlog I Mandvi Beach I Gujarat
Hello everyone,
so our next destination in Gujarat was Mandvi. I had read about it that its a beautiful location but it turned out to be more scenic. after travelling in Rajasthan for about 2.5 months, my soul was asking to see water. It was indeed a pleasant surprise to see a small port on the arrival itself. We both were full of energy after seeing the beach and dock yard.
Next bigger surprise was The Hiriz Seabreeze Resort. We did not know that its a private beach and just kept going when the General Manager of the hotel came to us and with the permissions of the owner we could see the best place to be in Mandvi. The hospitality of the staff members is par excellence. The owner is a humble gentleman who invited us for dinner next day. We will be ever in debt for that.
The visit to Vijay Villas Palace, the residency of the royal family of Kutch, was a surprise too. Its was amazing to see the pictures of the Bollywood Films shot in this palace. Indeed its worth every inch.
The Mandvi beach itself is very beautiful. Very clean and scenic. The presence of the Wind Mills have made it more picturesque. Localites came for Ganpati visarjan the moment we stepped onto the beach. They sparked a pulsating energy of drums in the sea breeze.
While making a tour of Gujrat, never miss Mandvi in your itinerary and a stay in The Hiriz Seabreeze Resort is highly recommended.
