Sand Bar Beach/ St. Sjørup / Djurslands Wadden Sea in Denmark/ Summer 2016

Out from the northern coast of the peninsula, Djursland in Denmark lies a sand bar. A white sanded island. It is used for bathing by the locals and is called “The Paradise” They often go there by tractor, or wade out through the warm shallow water.

Fishing movie ’Heaven on Helnæs’

Mother nature has been particularly benevolent to West Fyn, giving us 80 km of coastline. The waterways of West Fyn are regarded as a sea trout angler’s paradise. The excellent fishing in our area did not just happen by chance. It is the result of more than 20 years of targeted efforts to improve the habitat of the fish and the quality of the water. The short distances make it quick and easy to move between fishing spots on the coast whenever the weather changes. Go exploring and combine successful catches with superb experiences in magnificent scenery. Helnæs is worth a visit all year round.
Assens is the first municipality on Funen who has produced their own movie about sea trout angling, and the movie will be used to attract more angling interested tourists to the area by the Helnæs bay.

The movie is part of Assens’ special effort towards angling and the angling tourism by the Helnæs bay. The goal for the project is to strengthen the angling potential in the area, by making a unified effort for better facilities for anglers and better conditions for the fish in the bay.

The title for the movie is ’Heaven on Helnæs’, and it should preferably attract more Norwegian tourists to the area, which is why two great Norwegian fly fishermen participates in the movie. The movie is texted in English.

The movie was produced in April 2016 by photographer Frederik Laks Lorentzen and Peter Andreas Christensen.
