Vienna - Top 3 landmarks/places to see in Vienna, Austria in 4K
Before the sudden end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918, the city was a powerhouse that ran the central states of Europe. For hundreds of years, merchants and politicians, artists and architects, writers and musicians flocked here. Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert lodged within walking distance of each other. Klimt, Freud and Mahler visited the same cafés. This relatively small city on the edge of the Hungarian plains became one of the wealthiest, most powerful and most beautiful in Europe.
Today it is extraordinary to walk round the centre of Vienna and find so much history and art in such a small place. Even outside the Ringstrasse, the wide boulevard that replaced the 13th-century city walls, the density of historical sites is extraordinary. While Vienna may have a reputation as being one of the most musical cities in the world, that is to ignore its contribution to painting and architecture. And if culture weren’t enough to attract the visitor, the Viennese love of food, wine, beer and coffee will certainly attract gourmet and gourmand alike.
It is also worth remembering that although Vienna remains refreshingly elegant and refined (most shops still shut on a Sunday), it is not in the least bit stuck in the past. A flurry of new hotels and restaurants have opened in recent years and the contemporary art scene is breathing new blood into an already highly sophisticated arts scene. The classic and the contemporary now sit side by side.
In this video we have put together 3 historical places that you must visit while you are in Vienna. Although Vienna has much more historical landmarks or places to offer we believe this top 3 list should be the first places to visit while you are in Vienna.

Vienna is the capital of the Republic of Austria and one of the nine states of Austria. Vienna is Austria's primary city, with a population of about 1.7 million.-

TRIP TO SALZBURG - AUSTRIA
Salzburg (help·info) (Austro-Bavarian: Såizburg; literally: Salt Castle) is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital city of the federal state of Salzburg.
Salzburg's Old Town (Altstadt) has internationally renowned baroque architecture and one of the best-preserved city centres north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city is noted for its Alpine setting.
Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the mid-20th century, the city was the setting for parts of the American musical and film The Sound of Music, which features famous landmarks in Austria. The musical was a partnership between Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II.
The capital city of the State of Salzburg (Land Salzburg), the city has three universities. It has a large population of students who add liveliness and energy to the area, and the universities provide culture to the community.

Getreidegasse (also known as Grain Lane) is a busy shopping street in the Old-Town section of Salzburg. The house at no. 9 Getreidegasse is the place where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born and where he lived until the age of 17. Originally called Trabegasse (derived from traben to trot), its name was changed several times before it became the Grain Lane.
The Mirabell Palace (German: Schloss Mirabell) is a historical building in Salzburg, Salzburgerland, Austria.
It was built in the Baroque style, with Italian and French models, by Archbishop Wolf Dietrich Raitenau in 1606. In its geometrically-arranged gardens are mythology-themed statues dating from 1730 and four groups of sculpture (Eneas, Hercules, Paris and Pluton) by the Italian sculptor Ottavio Mosto, from 1690. It is noted for its boxwood layouts.
Salzburg is a tourist favourite, with the number of tourists outnumbering locals by a large margin in peak times. In addition to Mozart's birthplace noted above, other notable places include:
