The Giant Forest, famed for its giant sequoia trees, is within the United States' Sequoia National Park. This montane forest, situated at over 6,000 feet above mean sea level in the western Sierra Nevada of California, covers an area of 1,880 acres . The Giant Forest is the most accessible of all giant sequoia groves, as it has over 40 miles of hiking trails. Five of the ten most massive trees on the planet are located within the Giant Forest. The largest of these, the General Sherman tree, measures 36.5 feet across the base. The giant sequoia tree is the most massive species of tree on earth, and one of just five tree species documented to grow to 300 feet in height . It is also among the longest-lived of all trees on the planet.

3. Moro Rock Sequoia And Kings Canyon National Park
Moro Rock is a granite dome rock formation in Sequoia National Park, California, United States. It is located in the center of the park, at the head of Moro Creek, between Giant Forest and Crescent Meadow. A stairway, designed by the National Park Service and built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps, is cut into and poured onto the rock, so that visitors can hike to the top. The view from the rock encompasses much of the Park, including the Great Western Divide. Use of this trail is discouraged during thunderstorms and when it is snowing.

General Grant Grove, a section of the greater Kings Canyon National Park, was established by the US Congress in 1890 and is located in Fresno County, California. The primary attraction of General Grant Grove is the giant sequoia trees that populate the grove. General Grant Grove's most well-known tree is the General Grant Tree, which is 267 feet tall and the third largest known tree in the world. The General Grant Tree is over 1,500 years old and is known as the United States's national Christmas Tree. General Grant Grove consists of 154 acres and is geographically isolated from the rest of Kings Canyon National Park.

Driving west into Bakersfield, California on I-58.

Pittsburgh's South Hills Neighborhoods: Mount Lebanon, Dormont

This drive explores some of the communities in the South Hills, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The drive begins on Interstate 376, then exits onto Greentree Road. It also covers McMonagle Avenue, Washington Road through Mount Lebanon, McFarland Road and Banksville road. I also paid a visit to the steepest street in America (and maybe the World), Canton Avenue, near the end of the video.

I made this trip in August-September 2017. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

Hello everyone, it's David Adams here, I made this personal VLOG series to capture my journey across the country from Alpharetta, GA to San Francisco, CA. I'm an IT Consultant for Show Data Solutions and we had a show in California to setup a network and kiosk configuration for. The vehicle of choice is Freightliner Sprinter Van governed at 70MPH. No big deal, it made the trip quite relaxing and super fun when you got a good downhill going and could get into the 80s. It also was SUPER SCARY going around the twisty bits in New Mexico at any speed with 4000+lbs of freight in the vehicle.
