Meadow Lake is a city in the boreal forest of northwestern Saskatchewan, Canada. Its location is about 246 kilometres northeast of Lloydminster and 156 kilometres north of North Battleford. On November 9, 2009, it officially became Saskatchewan's 14th city.Meadow Lake is the main business centre of northwestern Saskatchewan and serves the many towns and villages as a regional shopping centre. Meadow Lake Provincial Park is a northern boreal forest recreational park on the Waterhen River . It is accessed centrally through Goodsoil. The village of Goodsoil is located approximately 78 km west of Meadow Lake. The eastern entrance to the park is located 5 kilometres north of Dorintosh. The western gateway into the Meadow Lake Provincial Park is via the village of Pierceland. The park encompasses over 20 lakes in an area of 1,600 square kilometers.

Clearwater River Provincial Park is a wilderness park in northern Saskatchewan. The park begins at the south end of Lloyd Lake on the Clearwater River and includes territory on both sides of the river until it reaches the Alberta border. It includes the historic Methye Portage .The Methye Portage was designated a National Historic Site in 1933and the Clearwater River was designated a Canadian Heritage River in 1986.The Clearwater River offers experienced canoeists Class 2 to Class 4 rapids.

Prince Albert National Park encompasses 3,874 square kilometres in central Saskatchewan, Canada and is located 200 kilometres north of Saskatoon. Though declared a national park March 24, 1927, it had its official opening ceremonies on August 10, 1928 performed by Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King. The park is open all year but the most visited period is from May to September. Although named for the city, the park's main entrance is actually 80 km north of Prince Albert via Highways 2 and 263 which enters the park at its southeast corner. Two additional secondary highways enter the park: No. 264, which branches off Hwy. 2 just east of the Waskesiu townside, and No. 240, which enters the park from the south and links with 263 just outside the entry fee-collection gates. Grüner see, literally “green lake”, is a lake in styria, austria, near the town of tragoss, located at the foot of the snow-capped hochschwab mountains.
During winter, the lake is only 1–2 meter deep and the surrounding area is used as a county park.
But as the temperature starts rising in spring, the ice and snow on the mountaintops begins to melt and runs down into the basin of land below.
During summer, the lake reaches its maximum depth of around 12 meter and is claimed to look the most beautiful at this time.
The lake gets its distinctive green colouring, and the name, from the grass and foliage beneath, and thanks to the fresh snow melt, the ice-cold water is crystal clear clear.
The temperature of the lake is rather cold at 4 to 8 °c
it’s popular among divers who can observe the green meadows in the edge zone of the lake particularly in june when the water is at its highest
the alpine grasses and flowers of the meadow are visible in full bloom under the water. One can even see benches, a bridge, and walking trails.
