Note that there is a call to action in this video. YouTube has changed its requirements to be a member of the YouTube Partner Program, and the new requirement is that a channel have 1000 subscribers and 240,000 watchtime minutes in the past year. We're over double the watchtime minute requirement, but we're about 350 subscribers short. YouTube will not grandfather existing channels in the program. If we don't have 1000 subscribers by the deadline, our participation in the Partner Program will be terminated.
YouTube Analytics shows that about 80% of our viewers are not subscribed to our channel. If you like and watch our videos, PLEASE hit the subscribe button so we can hit that 1000 subscriber threshold by February 20, 2018.
Thank you!

Boating to the U.S. Clearing US Customs By Video Phone. Clayton, NY. Ep73
Ep73. In this episode of Cruising Off Duty, we take our sailboat to Clayton NY and clear into US customs from our boat for the first time using a Video Phone. In theory it's a very easy process, but we had some issues with this phone connection.
We also are travelling with a Buddy Boat. Carol, a solo sailor we knew from our days on the Ottawa River, joined us on this trip to the US. She had cleared in many times before so it was nice to have someone with experience to show us the ropes.
We will then take you on a walking tour of Clayton NY. We spent our 2 week vacation travelling various ports on the US and Canadian sides of Lake Ontario and Clayton was one of the best in terms of it being a pretty, clean town, with lots of shops, bars and restaurants to keep you occupied when you want to leave your boat and go stretch your legs. We didn't have both folding bikes yet at this stage of our trip, but we will certainly go back to Clayton and this time bike the area.
We hope you enjoy this episode.

Driving a Truck over the Cairo Ohio River Bridge connecting Cairo, IL to Wickliffe, KY
This is the Cairo Ohio Bridge that carries US Highways 51, 60, and 62. It connects the town of Cairo, Illinois with Wickliffe, Kentucky. The bridge itself is the southern most crossing over the Ohio River before it meets the mighty Mississippi River. The bridge itself is a Cantillever bridge that opened in 1937. the total length of the bridge is 5,863 feet and 7 inches/1,787.26 meters long with the longest span between bridge piers being 800 feet/243.84 meters long, a width of 20 feet/ 6.10 meters, and a maximum vertical clearance for road traffic of 19 feet 6 inches/ 5.97 meters. This is all according to Wikipedia so I'd appreciate any additional info you viewers might know about this bridge.
It should be noted that at no point was I ever holding the camera. I placed it on my dash while I was on the road and I don't encourage others to hold anything while driving as that is considered distracted driving and that can go tragically wrong. Please use a wireless headset when on the phone and PLEASE STOP TEXTING WHILE DRIVING.
One World Trade Center Is Now America's Tallest Building
One World Trade Center is now America's tallest building.
For roughly 12 years, crews in New York City have been working to replace the original World Trade Center which was destroyed on September 11th 2001.
On May 10th 2013, a 408-foot tall spire was placed on top of the new One World Trade Center with the help of a crane.
Comprised of 18 pieces, the steeple makes the total height of the tower 1,776 feet and if that number sounds familiar, it is because America signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776. It is also now the tallest building in the USA and in the entire Western Hemisphere.
A large group of cheering onlookers watched as the final piece of the tower was installed on top. A port authority representative states This really is a symbolic moment because this building really represents the resiliency of this country. These people, the thousand men and women who have worked here tirelessly, really as a tribute for the people that perished on 9/11 right on this site.
